The team is prepared to take all the measured they need to monitor Cutler's health, but they are confident he will be able to manage. Cutler was diagnosed in recent weeks, and he will now need to take daily doses of insulin and closely monitor his diet.

ESPN.com reports Indianapolis Colts WR Marvin Harrison (knee) is being investigated in a shooting that took place at Playmakers, a bar that Harrison owns, a source close to the investigation told Anthony Gargano, of WIP Radio in Philadelphia. The shooting reportedly occurred Tuesday, April 29, but Harrison has not been arrested or charged. A source said the alleged victim went into the bar and became involved in an argument with Harrison. The man then left the bar and was heading to his car with Harrison following him. Shots were then fired and the victim was hit in the hand. Police arrived at the scene but the victim did not identify a shooter. According to a source, ballistic tests showed the gun that had fired the shots was a custom-made Belgian weapon. The police determined that Harrison owned such a gun. Officers went to question Harrison about the gun, and he admitted owning a similar weapon but claimed it never left his home. The gun was discovered in a bucket at a car wash Harrison owns, and tests showed that the gun was fired seven times with bullets that matched those found at the scene. The source said police were contacted Friday, May 2, by an attorney representing a second alleged victim in the shooting, and are waiting for that individual to come forward.

Udeze was placed on the injury list so he can focus on recovering from an acute form of leukemia. Although not required, the Vikings said they will continue to pay Udeze, who is scheduled to make $807,500 this season.

John Clayton, of ESPN.com, reports Seattle Seahawks DT Marcus Tubbs (knee) recently underwent arthroscopic surgery to clean up his right knee. He is expected to be out of the team's minicamp this weekend, but it does give the Seahawks hope he might be ready for the start of the regular season.

Tad Vezner, of the Pioneer Press, reports free-agent DE Darrion Scott (Vikings) was arrested Wednesday, April 30, on suspicion of domestic assault. Smith was booked on suspicion of assault, domestic assault and malicious punishment of a child. Police have released no further information, saying the case remains under investigation.
