Fantasy Football and NFL News, Rumors and Injury UpdatesWashington Redskins Week 14 Fantasy Outlook
By Ben Rubin Note: All statistics appearing in this article are from Weeks 10-13, unless otherwise noted. Do Not Bench List - All Positions
Quarterbacks
Campbell - Campbell certainly did his part in costing the Redskins a much-needed victory. His two turnovers led to two Bills field goals, and in close games those turnovers are costly. He now has 11 interceptions and eight lost fumbles over the course of the season, something that fantasy owners do not like to see. He is still a decent No. 1 quarterback, but a weak play against the Bears this week. Running Backs
Portis - Portis scored the Redskins lone touchdown against the Bills last Sunday but was otherwise relatively quiet rushing the ball. He averaged only two yards per carry on 25 attempts, and he caught two passes for 10 yards. Portis' numbers are starting to fall again, but there is hope against the Bears. They are allowing 122.0 rushing yards and 1.25 rushing touchdowns to running backs per game over the last four weeks. This could be a nice rebound week for Portis who is a strong play as a No. 2 running back. Wide Receivers
Moss - Moss had a below-average day for himself, catching only five passes for 63 yards against the Bills. Moss' heel injury didn't seem to bother him as much though, and he should be fine for this week's game. Moss is a decent No. 2 or No. 3 receiver, but the heel injury that's bothered him on and off this season could return at any point. Make sure he practices during the week and that the injury doesn't seem to bother him before starting him. Randle El - The hamstring injury that's plagued Randle El (hamstring, clavicle) the past few weeks finally forced him out of the Week 13 game against the Bills. It was the first game Randle El has ever missed in his career. It is unclear at this point whether or not he will play in Week 14, though even if he does play he is best suited on your bench as a weak play against the Bears. Place Kickers
Suisham - Suisham was able to connect on three short field goal attempts this past Sunday, the longest of which was only 33 yards. He has been pretty productive lately, and should stick around his average performance against the Bears this week. Chicago is allowing 1.75 field goals and 2.50 extra points per game over the last four weeks, but some of those extra points could easily turn into short Washington field goals for Suisham. He's a good No. 1 kicker and should start for your team this week. Defensive Teams
Redskins - The Bears have been averaging 20.2 points on offense the past four weeks, slightly lower than the Redskins' 23.8 points allowed. The Redskins defense doesn't cause many turnovers however, so expecting a big performance out of them would be foolish. Their defense should stay on your bench as a weak play this Thursday.
