Goodell, during a television interview, said, "I was very clear with Michael. In my mind, that is your responsibility. People living in your house and people on your property is your responsibility. That is not an excuse from my standpoint, and I made that clear to Michael Vick.''

But I'm kind of excited at what he's going to do," Gilbride said. Jacobs does not believe Gilbride should be worried because Jacobs knows he will have to change some things this season.

The league's medical advisers that oversee Williams' rehabilitation program recently notified commissioner Roger Goodell of the positive test and made the recommendation that Williams not be allowed to apply for reinstatement until September, sources added.
