"I'm sorry my actions of last year will affect my teammates, coaches and fans," Allen said. "I have definitely learned from my mistakes and am glad to finally put this entire thing behind me once and for all. Linebacker

LB | Lance Briggs | Chicago Bears | Draft Information
Jason La Canfora, of the Washington Post, reports the Washington Redskins are still pursuing Chicago Bears LB Lance Briggs and a deal may be done before or during the 2007 NFL Draft. The chances that the trade will occur are "50-50," according to a source with knowledge of the situation. The two teams have discussed different trade scenarios, but the Redskins refuse to add LB Rocky McIntosh or extra draft picks in the deal. The trade originally offered would most likely be the one that would occur. The Redskins would receive Briggs and the 31st overall pick, while the Bears would receive the sixth overall pick. If the trade occurs, the Redskins would look to draft University of Texas CB Aaron Ross, University of Texas S Michael Griffin or University of Oklahoma LB Rufus Alexander.

LB | Edgerton Hartwell | Free Agent Players | Free Agency News
Adam Caplan and Tony Pauline, of Scout.com, report unrestricted free-agent LB Edgerton Hartwell (Falcons) is looking to sign with a team before the start of the 2007 NFL Draft, according to sources. Cornerback

CB | Brian Kelly | Tampa Bay Buccaneers | Draft Information
Sal Palantonio, of ESPN, reports the Detroit Lions are talking to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers about a trade for the second overall pick in the 2007 NFL Draft. There are several trade scenarios being discussed between the teams. One scenario is the Buccaneers would trade the fourth overall pick and their two second-round picks to the Lions for the second pick. This scenario is unlikely, since the Buccaneers have yet to be willing to trade what is being asked for by the Lions. Another scenario involves the Lions taking Georgia Tech WR Calvin Johnson, while the Buccaneers would take University of Clemson DE Gaines Adams. After the selections, the Buccaneers would trade Adams, another player, possibly CB Brian Kelly, and maybe an additional pick for Johnson.
