Quarterback

QB | Jeff Garcia | Philadelphia Eagles | Free Agency News
Dave Spadaro, of PhiladelphiaEagles.com, reports Philadelphia Eagles QB Jeff Garcia will become an unrestricted free agent in March this year, but he wants to re-sign with the Eagles, if they express the same interest. "Based upon my experience here, I hope that it (future) looks real good," said Garcia. "I hope we can figure out a way to keep me here. I think one of the things I look at is, I just want to be treated fairly. I just want to be respected and appreciated for my accomplishments on the field and what I bring as a person, and a leader and a motivator and just an attitude to this team, to this organization. If that can be appreciated, I have no problem with committing myself to Philadelphia, for not just one year but hopefully the rest of my career." Garcia later added he would love to find a starting job, but being a member of a winning team is more important.

QB | Donovan McNabb | Philadelphia Eagles | Injury News, Fantasy
PhiladelphiaEagles.com reports Philadelphia Eagles QB Donovan McNabb (knee) discussed his rehabilitation from a season-ending knee injury with Sirius NFL Radio's Afternoon Blitz show Wednesday, Jan. 31. McNabb said, "It's on schedule. When you have a knee injury and Jerry will allude to this, it's excruciating pain early on. I mean for the first eight or nine or 10 weeks, you're working on getting your range and flexion back. No one wants to be a part of that. I remember right before I injured my knee, [DL] Jevon Kearse (knee) was going through it and just kind of being in there as they were bending his knee, he had the scar tissue that they were trying to rip apart, it just feels like your kneecap is about to tear up again. But as this thing continues on and your leg gets stronger, you feel like you can do more. There's going to come a point, that I've known talking to different guys who've had it that you feel like you've hit a wall. You're really getting better, but it's frustrating. At this particular point, I'm not going through that. Things are getting better. I look forward to getting back out there."

Wide Receiver

WR | Deion Branch | Seattle Seahawks | Injury News
WETMtv.com reports the NFL has cleared the New York Jets of tampering charges made by the New England Patriots involving former Patriots WR Deion Branch. According to several reports, including the Boston Herald, the Patriots contend when they allowed Branch to negotiate with teams earlier in the season, they didn't give permission for other teams to disclose offers for a deal. The Patriots reportedly contend the Jets told Branch's people, they would deal a second-round draft pick to New England in order to get him. The Jets released a statement following the league's decision. "We are pleased Commissioner Goodell determined that the Patriots' tampering allegations were completely unfounded, that the Jets conduct did not violate League policy, and consequently, the Patriots had no basis to claim an injury."
