--WR Deion Branch: WETMtv.com reports the NFL has cleared the New York Jets of tampering charges made by the New England Patriots involving former Patriots WR Deion Branch. According to several reports, including the Boston Herald, the Patriots contend when they allowed Branch to negotiate with teams earlier in the season, they didn't give permission for other teams to disclose offers for a deal. The Patriots reportedly contend the Jets told Branch's people, they would deal a second-round draft pick to New England in order to get him. The Jets released a statement following the league’s decision. "We are pleased Commissioner Goodell determined that the Patriots' tampering allegations were completely unfounded, that the Jets conduct did not violate League policy, and consequently, the Patriots had no basis to claim an injury.”
