--DL Mike Rucker: Brett Borden, of Panthers.com, reports Carolina Panthers DE Mike Rucker (knee) is progressing well from surgery to repair a torn ACL and MCL in his knee suffered during the 2006 season. This is my first major injury, and right now Im just coming in here doing what Im supposed to do to the best of my ability, Rucker said of his rehab. I have no concerns about Mike Rucker coming back, said team head athletic trainer Ryan Vermillion. He is three weeks into his rehabilitation and hes doing great. Hes responding extremely well and hes working very hard. He doesnt just lay on the table. Hes up and walking around. Hes riding a stationary bike. He does a lot of standing exercises. Hes doing a little bit of a leg press. Mini squats. Toe raises. Lunges. Hes in the beginning stages, but hes still pretty active.

--LB LaVar Arrington: Aron Angel, of Giants.com, reports New York Giants LB LaVar Arrington (Achilles') has been coming to Giants Stadium nearly every day to continue rehabilitating his surgicaly-repaired left leg. "Me and the trainers have been working our tails off. (Assistant Athletic Trainer) Byron Hansen and I have been really diligent on getting my legs back together. I feel really strong and in good spirits. From what the doctors say and what the trainers say, Ill have a full recovery. Ill be ready for mini-camp in June and stuff like that. Ill be working out with the guys this offseason, so Im excited. My legs feel much better than I had anticipated, so thats a bonus," said Arrington. He plans to remain in New Jersey throughout the entire offseason to work with the team's trainers.
