Phillies | Cole Hamels may have made final rehab start

Fri, 18 Apr 2014 01:23:01 -0700

Philadelphia Phillies SP Cole Hamels (biceps) pitched what was likely his final rehab start on Thursday, April 17, as he threw seven strong innings for Class A Clearwater. Hamels allowed one run on three hits while walking one and striking out two. Hamels, making his third start for the Threshers, threw 57 of his 81 pitches for strikes.

Fantasy Tip: Hamels will likely be activated off the disabled list early next week, when the Phillies play four games against the Dodgers in Los Angeles. Hamels could return as early as Tuesday, April 22.

Blue Jays | Jose Reyes on track for Saturday

Toronto Blue Jays SS Jose Reyes (hamstring) is on track to return Saturday, April 19, because the weather on Friday, April 18, isn't expected to be favorable.

Fantasy Tip: Note this for your leagues that allow daily transactions.

Braves | Craig Kimbrel says he's ready

Atlanta Braves RP Craig Kimbrel (shoulder) threw a 15-pitch side session Wednesday, April 16, and said his shoulder felt good. Kimbrel says he's ready to pitch.

Fantasy Tip: Kimbrel looks like he's dodged a bullet. Make sure he's in your starting lineups moving forward.

Plan your pitching!
