Quarterback

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill threw 36 passes to WR Mike Wallace that traveled at least 20 yards in the air, but Wallace was only able to catch six of those passes. Only eight of the passes were considered catchable with Wallace dropping the other two catchable passes.

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning said he wants to continue playing past this season.

QB | Cam Newton | Carolina Panthers | Transaction
Carolina Panthers general manager David Gettleman said he will offer QB Cam Newton a fair contract to start contract negotiations. "It's going to be fun," Gettleman said. "It's going to be interesting. There's going to be a lot of work, a lot of research. A lot of thought is going to go into it. Philosophically, I'm going to start with a fair offer. It's going to be fair. And then we'll move from there."


Running Back

RB | Chris Johnson | Tennessee Titans | Injury, Free Agents, Fantasy
Tennessee Titans pending free-agent RB Chris Johnson (knee) will have surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his knee Tuesday, Jan. 28. He'll be recovered in four to six weeks. Johnson suffered the injury in Week 3 and played through the season with it.

Johnson isn't expected to return to the Titans next season after declining to take a pay cut. He could enhance his value with a contender.

RB | LeSean McCoy | Philadelphia Eagles | Injury, Fantasy
Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy (ankle) suffered an ankle injury during the 2014 Pro Bowl and is considered doubtful to return.


Wide Receiver

Place Kicker

San Francisco 49ers LB Patrick Willis (thumb) had recent surgery on his left thumb and is in a cast.


Free Safety

FS | Jairus Byrd | Buffalo Bills | Injury
Updating a previous report, Buffalo Bills FS Jairus Byrd (back) suffered a back injury during the 2014 Pro Bowl and will not return. Byrd said on his Twitter page that he will be fine.
