Quarterback

QB | Matt McGloin | Oakland Raiders | Depth Chart Tidbit, Fantasy
Oakland Raiders head coach Dennis Allen indicated Monday, Nov. 18, that the team plans to stick with QB Matt McGloin at quarterback, as he has the "hot hand." McGloin was given the game ball in Week 11 against the Houston Texans following his first NFL start and win.

For fantasy purposes, McGloin is only worth a look in the deepest of fantasy leagues which require two starting signal callers.

QB | Jay Cutler | Chicago Bears | Injury, Fantasy
Updating a previous report, Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler (ankle) said he hopes to be able to play in the team's Week 13 game but is not sure if he will able to play that week because there are some ligament issues in his injured ankle.

QB | Geno Smith | New York Jets | Fantasy
New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan said the team will stick with QB Geno Smith as the starter in Week 12 against the Baltimore Ravens. "Without question, Geno's going to start this game," Ryan said. However, Ryan said he could give QB Matt Simms more first-team repetitions in practice this week.

Smith has been wildly inconsistent in his rookie season, which wasn't unexpected. Smith should be nothing more than a crapshoot as a backup QB for fantasy purposes.

QB | Case Keenum | Houston Texans | Fantasy
Houston Texans head coach Gary Kubiak said QB Case Keenum will be the starting quarterback Week 12.

QB | Josh McCown | Chicago Bears | Fantasy
A Chicago Bears source said there is no way that QB Josh McCown could push for QB Jay Cutler's job if he continues to play well. "No, Jay is our quarterback," the team source said.

QB | Colin Kaepernick | San Francisco 49ers | Fantasy
San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick is averaging just 4.1 yards on 53 pass attempts in the last two weeks.

QB | Chad Henne | Jacksonville Jaguars | Fantasy
Jacksonville Jaguars QB Chad Henne will start in the team's Week 12 game, according to head coach Gus Bradley.

QB | Jason Campbell | Cleveland Browns | Injury, Fantasy
Cleveland Browns head coach Rob Chudzinski said QB Jason Campbell (ribs) is doing fine and he has no qualms about sticking with him moving forward.

QB | Christian Ponder | Minnesota Vikings | Fantasy
Minnesota Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier was non-committal when asked Sunday, Nov. 17, who his Week 12 quarterback would be against the Green Bay Packers. QB Christian Ponder was terrible in Week 11 against the Seattle Seahawks, so QB Matt Cassel or QB Josh Freeman could get another chance.

This is a situation to avoid in all scenarios.

Running Back

RB | Darren McFadden | Oakland Raiders | Injury, Fantasy
Oakland Raiders head coach Dennis Allen said he is not sure where RB Darren McFadden (hamstring) is at in terms of his recovery from his hamstring injury but will know more Wednesday, Nov. 20.

Owners should wait to see if he will be able to practice this week before deciding on their starting lineup.

RB | Shane Vereen | New England Patriots | Injury, Transaction, Fantasy
The New England Patriots activated RB Shane Vereen (wrist) from the Injured Reserve/Designated to Return list.

RB | Adrian Peterson | Minnesota Vikings | Injury, Fantasy
Minnesota Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier said RB Adrian Peterson (groin) will be evaluated this week after being hampered by a groin injury Week 11.

RB | Mark Ingram | New Orleans Saints | Fantasy
New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram had only 25 yards on six carries in the team's Week 11 win over the San Francisco 49ers after his big game a week ago.

Ingram remains third on the depth chart behind Darren Sproles and Pierre Thomas. It'll be maddening to rely on him for fantasy purposes unless the Saints are ahead by a large margin.

RB | Bobby Rainey | Tampa Bay Buccaneers | Fantasy
Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Bobby Rainey had 30 carries for 163 yards and two touchdowns and had a receiving touchdown in Week 11.

Rainey torched the Atlanta Falcons' porous defense. It remains to be seen if he can continue to be a viable fantasy contributor on a weekly basis, but he needs to be owned in nearly all leagues.

RB | Rashad Jennings | Oakland Raiders | Injury, Fantasy
Oakland Raiders head coach Dennis Allen suggested there will be a timeshare at running back when RB Darren McFadden (hamstring) returns. RB Rashad Jennings has rushed 57 times for 340 yards (6.0 yards per carry) in the last three games.

McFadden's stock is at a career low. He still needs to be rostered, but he's probably not worth playing until we see how this committee will work.

RB | Reggie Bush | Detroit Lions | Fantasy
Detroit Lions RB Reggie Bush was benched in Week 11 after losing a fumble and getting away with another one that wasn't challenged.

RB | Darren Sproles | New Orleans Saints | Injury, Fantasy
New Orleans Saints RB Darren Sproles (foot, knee) left the Week 11 game against the San Francisco 49ers in the first half due to a left knee and right foot issue. The training staff checked his left knee, and he had his right foot re-taped before returning to the game.

Wide Receiver

WR | Percy Harvin | Seattle Seahawks | Injury, Fantasy
Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said WR Percy Harvin (hip) will not be limited in the offense moving forward and will be used as a kick returner.

WR | Wes Welker | Denver Broncos | Injury, Fantasy
Sources are saying that Denver Broncos WR Wes Welker (concussion) is expected to be OK for Week 12 against the New England Patriots. He'll undergo baseline concussion testing Monday, Nov. 18, and will likely be limited in practice all week. He was checked by the team's training staff after suffering the injury but re-entered the game for five games. "My understanding is we followed protocol, he was cleared to return, he had symptoms that came up and he was pulled," interim head coach Jack Del Rio said Monday. "He'll go through the protocol this week ... (Doctors) checked him, allowed to return, symptoms came that were problematic and he was pulled."

WR | Keenan Allen | San Diego Chargers | Injury, Fantasy
San Diego Chargers head coach Mike McCoy said WR Keenan Allen (knee) will be fine after suffering a knee injury in the team's Week 11 game.

WR | Stephen Hill | New York Jets | Fantasy
New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan said the team will consider removing WR Stephen Hill from the starting lineup.

WR | Greg Jennings | Minnesota Vikings | Injury, Fantasy
Minnesota Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier said he was surprised WR Greg Jennings (heel) was unable to play in Week 11 against the Seattle Seahawks, and Frazier is unsure if he'll be able to play in Week 12 against the Green Bay Packers, his former team. "I have to be careful to predict that now, because I really felt like he'd be able to go in this last ball game and it didn't work out," Frazier said. "So I have to watch him go through practice and see him do some things to be certain." Jennings is hoping to be able to play against the Packers.

Jennings is a weak WR3 or flex play if he makes it back this weekend. The uncertain quarterback situation in Minnesota isn't doing him any favors.

WR | Dez Bryant | Dallas Cowboys | Fantasy
Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant, who has been double-teamed often this year and used as a decoy, is confident the team has worked on ways to get him the ball more often. He has four games this year where he's caught four passes or less. "You will see what happens," Bryant said. "I've been seeing (double coverage) for a minute now, we've been working on it."

Bryant will continue to be a must-start at wide receiver.

WR | Emmanuel Sanders | Pittsburgh Steelers | Injury, Fantasy
Pittsburgh Steelers WR Emmanuel Sanders (foot) will be fine after leaving the game in Week 11 with a foot injury. A source is saying that Sanders did not suffer a serious ailment.

WR | Robert Woods | Buffalo Bills | Injury, Fantasy
Buffalo Bills head coach Doug Marrone said he believes WR Robert Woods (ankle) has a good chance to play after the team's Week 12 bye.

WR | Stevie Johnson | Buffalo Bills | Injury, Fantasy
Buffalo Bills head coach Doug Marrone said he believes WR Stevie Johnson (groin) has a good chance to play after the team's Week 12 bye.

WR | Nate Burleson | Detroit Lions | Injury, Fantasy
Detroit Lions head coach Jim Schwartz said it is possible that WR Nate Burleson (forearm) could play in the team's Week 12 game.

Burleson will be a risky start if he returns this weekend. At best, consider him a flex play in deeper leagues if he gets the go-ahead from the coaches.

WR | Miles Austin | Dallas Cowboys | Injury, Fantasy
Dallas Cowboys WR Miles Austin (hamstring) is participating in practice Monday, Nov. 18.

WR | DeAndre Hopkins | Houston Texans | Fantasy
Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins was benched for mental mistakes in Week 11.

WR | Leonard Hankerson | Washington Redskins | Injury, Fantasy
Updating a previous report, Washington Redskins WR Leonard Hankerson (knee) might have suffered a torn lateral cruciate ligament in the Week 11 game against the Philadelphia Eagles. He will have an MRI Monday, Nov. 18.

WR | Pierre Garcon | Washington Redskins | Injury, Fantasy
Washington Redskins WR Pierre Garcon (ankle) said Sunday, Nov. 17, that his ankle was hurting badly after the Week 11 game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

WR | Jerome Simpson | Minnesota Vikings | Injury, Depth Chart Tidbit, Fantasy
Minnesota Vikings WR Jerome Simpson did not start in the Week 12 game against the Seattle Seahawks, even with WR Greg Jennings (Achilles') inactive. Head coach Leslie Frazier used Simpson as the fourth receiver for much of the day, with WR Joe Webb often seeing time ahead of Simpson in three-receiver sets. Simpson was arrested Nov. 9 for drunken driving. "There's no sense in me talking about that now. The decision was made. Simpson was out there on the second play. Circumstances dictated this is what we had to do," Frazier said Sunday, Nov. 17. Simpson made one catch for one yard.

WR | Terrance Williams | Dallas Cowboys | Injury, Depth Chart Tidbit, Fantasy
Dallas Cowboys WR Terrance Williams is expected to see a dent in playing time and targets with WR Miles Austin (hamstring) expected back in Week 12. Still, the team has been happy with Williams' maturation. "He's got a real high level of maturity from a work ethic standpoint," receivers coach Derek Dooley said Sunday, Nov. 17. "From an off the field standpoint. From a team standpoint. I think that's one of the things that's contributed to his ability to really have so much success early. He's really made the adjustment from being a college guy to a pro as well as anybody."

It's hard to imagine the team taking targets away from Williams, who has really blossomed during Austin's absence. Plus, Austin isn't exactly the picture of health, and it might just be a matter of time before he is sidelined again. Williams should be treated as a WR4 or flex fantasy option heading into Week 12.

WR | Marques Colston | New Orleans Saints | Fantasy
New Orleans Saints WR Marques Colston had five receptions for 80 yards in the Week 11 game against the San Francisco 49ers, helping him move to the top of the franchise's all-time leader in receiving yardage. He is also the franchise's all-time leader in yards from scrimmage.

Tight End

TE | Kellen Winslow | New York Jets | Fantasy
New York Jets TE Kellen Winslow said Monday, Nov. 18, that he is not bothered by his lack of playing time following the Week 11 game against the Buffalo Bills. He played a season-low 19 percent of the snaps in the team's loss, on the field for just 11 players while catching the only ball thrown his way. "I'm in the league and I'm happy, man. I'm feeding my family and I'm good," Winslow said.

TE | Julius Thomas | Denver Broncos | Injury, Fantasy
Denver Broncos TE Julius Thomas (ankle) left the Week 11 game against the Kansas City Chiefs in the third quarter, although he was able to walk off under his own power. He entered the game with worry about his ankles.
