QB | Tony Romo | Dallas Cowboys | Injury, Fantasy
Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo (ribs) will likely receive a pain-killing injection before the Week 3 game.
Romo has played well through bumps and bruises before. We don't expect any adverse effects.
QB | Ryan Tannehill | Miami Dolphins | Injury, Fantasy
Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill (shoulder) is nursing a right shoulder injury that is limiting his practice time. Tannehill took a hit on the shoulder early in the third quarter of the team's win at Indianapolis when he was hit from behind on a sack and lost a fumble, but he finished the game.
With injury news this early in the week, don't worry too much about it. The team does not appear to be concerned about Tannehill's injury, and the odds are definitely in favor of him playing on Sunday.
QB | Blaine Gabbert | Jacksonville Jaguars | Injury, Fantasy
Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blaine Gabbert (hand) was listed as a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Sept. 18.
Gabbert's status for Week 3 is uncertain, but whether he or Chad Henne get the nod under center, neither is particularly attractive from a fantasy perspective on the road against a strong Seattle Seahawks defense.
QB | Colin Kaepernick | San Francisco 49ers | Injury, Fantasy
San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick (foot) was listed on the injury report Wednesday, Sept. 18, due to a foot injury, but he was able to take part in a full practice session.
It does not sound like Kaepernick is in any danger of missing the Week 3 game, so start him in your fantasy league as you normally would.
QB | Robert Griffin III | Washington Redskins | Depth Chart Tidbit, Fantasy
Washington Redskins QB Robert Griffin III said the team's offense needs a spark, and that spark can come from his legs. "I can run more," Griffin said. "It creates a spark," Griffin said. "I'll do whatever we have to do to win the game. That's always been my mindset. I'm the quarterback. If I have to create that energy, if I have to spit a rap line in the huddle, I'll do it. Whatever it takes to get that energy."
Running more would be welcome news to Griffinís fantasy owners, and would help his value moving forward. Griffin is still a must start every week, even with his teamís early struggles.
QB | Geno Smith | New York Jets | Injury, Fantasy
New York Jets QB Geno Smith (ankle) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Sept. 18.
QB | Brandon Weeden | Cleveland Browns | Injury, Fantasy
Cleveland Browns QB Brandon Weeden (thumb) is scheduled to meet with a hand specialist Thursday, Sept. 19, to have his injured thumb examined. Weeden said he is uncertain about the extent of the injury.
RB | Le'Veon Bell | Pittsburgh Steelers | Injury, Fantasy
Updating previous reports, Pittsburgh Steelers RB Le'Veon Bell (foot) said he's still in the healing process and will take it slowly to avoid aggravating the injury.
The team has a bye in Week 5, so it's possible he could return in Week 6. However, he has several hurdles to cross before that becomes a realistic vision.
RB | Reggie Bush | Detroit Lions | Injury, Fantasy
Detroit Lions RB Reggie Bush (knee) is optimistic he'll be able to play in Week 3, but he still needs clearance from doctors.
Bush has shown the toughness to be able to fight through injuries. Keep him in your lineup until the gametime decision is made. Teams have shredded the Washington Redskins defense the first two weeks, and it could be a good day to run the ball to eat some clock.
RB | Maurice Jones-Drew | Jacksonville Jaguars | Injury, Fantasy
Jacksonville Jaguars RB Maurice Jones-Drew (ankle) did not practice Wednesday, Sept. 18. He still plans on playing in the Week 3 game against the Seattle Seahawks. "I feel like I'll be fine," Jones-Drew said. "It's kind of a little setback but we'll see how things go today and hopefully I'll be out there tomorrow or Friday."
It's too early to say if Jones-Drew will miss the Week 3 game, but he faces a difficult matchup regardless. If you normally use him as an RB2, downgrade him to a flex play based on the matchup. And if he doesn't practice Friday, and ends up not playing, it will make him easier to replace.
RB | Mark Ingram | New Orleans Saints | Injury, Transaction, Depth Chart Tidbit, Fantasy
The New Orleans Saints traded RB Chris Ivory (Jets) during the offseason, unjamming what was a crowded backfield. However, RB Mark Ingram (toe) has yet to take advantage through the first two games, running for just 31 yards on 17 carries. In Week 2 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Ingram struggled early, and the team featured RB Pierre Thomas more.
Ingram might need a change of scenery to realize his potential. He is a back who might need 20-25 carries to get into a groove and get stronger as the game goes on, but that isn't the game plan in New Orleans. For now, he is only worth hanging onto if you need an RB3 or flex player in leagues of 12 or more teams. And at least than two yards per carry, so far, even that might be generous.
RB | Rashard Mendenhall | Arizona Cardinals | Injury, Fantasy
Arizona Cardinals RB Rashard Mendenhall (toe) did not practice Wednesday, Sept. 18, as he rested his toe injury.
If Mendenhall is forced to sit, or is even limited in Week 3, then Andre Ellington might see meaningful touches. He could be a nice sleeper for fantasy owners in the upcoming week.
RB | LaMichael James | San Francisco 49ers | Injury
San Francisco 49ers RB LaMichael James (knee), DT Ray McDonald (ankle) and DT Justin Smith (shoulder) did not practice Wednesday, Sept. 18.
RB | Eddie Lacy | Green Bay Packers | Injury, Fantasy
Green Bay Packers RB Eddie Lacy (concussion) was unable to participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 18.
Lacy's status for Week 3 is up in the air. If he cannot go, James Starks appears to be in line to start after his giant performance in Week 2. He is a decent low-end RB2 or flex fantasy play in Week 3.
RB | Trent Richardson | Indianapolis Colts | Transaction, Fantasy
The Cleveland Browns traded RB Trent Richardson to the Indianapolis Colts Wednesday, Sept. 18, in exchange for a first-round draft pick next year.
Sooo, the Browns will have two first-round picks in 2014, but they gave up a potential franchise player to do so. Willis McGahee will be signed to become the new lead back, but Chris Ogbonnaya could see valuable touches in the backfield, as well. McGahee could be a decent flex play in most weeks.
RB | Shonn Greene | Tennessee Titans | Injury, Fantasy
Tennessee Titans RB Shonn Greene (knee) did not practice Wednesday, Sept. 18.
RB | Daryl Richardson | St. Louis Rams | Injury, Fantasy
St. Louis Rams RB Daryl Richardson (foot) did not practice Wednesday, Sept. 18.
RB | Arian Foster | Houston Texans | Injury, Fantasy
Houston Texans RB Arian Foster (calf, chest) practiced in full Wednesday, Sept. 18.
Expect Foster to start this weekend against the Baltimore Ravens and continue his timeshare with Ben Tate.
RB | Bilal Powell | New York Jets | Injury, Fantasy
New York Jets RB Bilal Powell (illness, shoulder) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 18.
RB | James Starks | Green Bay Packers | Fantasy
Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said RB James Starks will be the team's starting running back for their Week 3 game.
Starks will be starting because Eddie Lacy is dealing with a concussion. He likely will get a majority of the carries if Lacy is not able to play. He should be considered a weak No. 2 running back or a flex option this week.
RB | Johnathan Franklin | Green Bay Packers | Fantasy
Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said RB Johnathan Franklin has been doing some good things and probably will receive some playing time during the team's Week 3 game.
RB | Ray Rice | Baltimore Ravens | Injury, Fantasy
Baltimore Ravens RB Ray Rice (hip) is not participating in practice Wednesday, Sept. 18.
FB | John Kuhn | Green Bay Packers | Injury

WR | Dez Bryant | Dallas Cowboys | Injury, Fantasy
Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant (back) is expected to return to practice Thursday, Sept. 19, and play in Week 3.
WR | Andre Johnson | Houston Texans | Injury, Fantasy
Updating previous reports, Houston Texans WR Andre Johnson (concussion) is in the final stage of the concussion protocol to be able to play in Week 3. The last stage is practicing in pads, which could occur Friday, Sept. 20.
WR | Larry Fitzgerald | Arizona Cardinals | Injury, Fantasy
Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (hamstring) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 18.
Fitzgerald looked like a question mark for Week 2, but was able to play. However, he admitted he could not make it through the whole game. It might be a good idea to reserve him for Week 3, and wait to see him make it through a full game with no setbacks before plugging him back into your lineup.
WR | Josh Gordon | Cleveland Browns | Transaction, Fantasy
Some anonymous NFL executives feel that if Cleveland Browns chief executive officer Joe Banner could trade WR Josh Gordon, he will do it before the NFL trade deadline of Oct. 29.
Gordon returns from a two-game suspension this week, but will have Brian Hoyer as his starting signal caller. That makes him nothing more than a WR4 or flex play right now in most fantasy leagues. If he is dealt, and gets an NFL caliber quarterback throwing to him, fantasy stardom might not be that far off.
WR | Marvin Jones | Cincinnati Bengals | Injury, Fantasy
Cincinnati Bengals WR Marvin Jones (foot) was listed as a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Sept. 18.
WR | Julio Jones | Atlanta Falcons | Injury, Fantasy
Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (knee) was limited in practice Wednesday, Sept. 18
Jones showed no signs of being slowed by the knee injury in Week 2, and is a must start in all formats if he can get on the field.
WR | Roddy White | Atlanta Falcons | Injury, Fantasy
Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White (ankle) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 18.
Another week starts with White not on the practice field. At this point, it looks like White may be in decoy mode once again in Week 3. Until White can prove he is back to full strength, it's best to look elsewhere if you have options.
WR | Reggie Wayne | Indianapolis Colts | Injury, Fantasy
Indianapolis Colts WR Reggie Wayne (shoulder) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Sept. 18.
WR | T.Y. Hilton | Indianapolis Colts | Injury, Fantasy
Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (groin) was limited in practice Wednesday, Sept. 18.
Monitor Hilton's progress throughout the week, but at this point we would expect him to play. Stay tuned as the week goes on.
WR | David Reed | Indianapolis Colts | Injury
Indianapolis Colts WR David Reed (quadriceps) was limited in practice Wednesday, Sept. 18.
WR | Damian Williams | Tennessee Titans | Injury
Tennessee Titans LB Zaviar Gooden (ankle) and WR Damian Williams (hamstring) practiced in full Wednesday, Sept. 18.
WR | Kendall Wright | Tennessee Titans | Injury, Fantasy
Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright (concussion) did not practice Wednesday, Sept. 18.
Wright was hit hard by cornerback Kareem Jackson last week, which likely left him concussed. He'll have to pass the league's concussion protocol to be cleared for this weekend's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Needless to say, Wright's status will be in question. If he doesn't play, Nate Washington and Justin Hunter will likely see more targets.
WR | Eddie Royal | San Diego Chargers | Injury, Fantasy
San Diego Chargers WR Eddie Royal (wrist) practiced in full Wednesday, Sept. 18.
This is the first we've heard of an injury for Royal. It's likely that the injury is minor, since he practiced in full on the first practice day of the week. Expect him to be out there in Week 3.
WR | Malcom Floyd | San Diego Chargers | Injury, Fantasy
San Diego Chargers WR Malcom Floyd (neck) did not practice Wednesday, Sept. 18.
Floyd has already been ruled out for Week 3, and he could easily miss several more weeks depending on how he bounces back from his scary neck injury. Continue to keep tabs on his progress.
WR | Danny Amendola | New England Patriots | Injury, Fantasy
New England Patriots WR Danny Amendola (groin) was limited during practice Wednesday, Sept. 18.
WR | Jeremy Kerley | New York Jets | Injury, Fantasy
New York Jets WR Jeremy Kerley (concussion) has been cleared to play after sitting out Week 2 because of a concussion.
WR | Santonio Holmes | New York Jets | Injury, Fantasy
New York Jets WR Santonio Holmes (foot) is not close to being fully healthy, or close to 100 percent.
WR | Stephen Hill | New York Jets | Injury, Fantasy
New York Jets WR Stephen Hill (knee) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Sept. 18.
WR | Jacoby Jones | Baltimore Ravens | Injury, Fantasy
Baltimore Ravens WR Jacoby Jones (knee) has been ruled out for Week 3.
WR | Hakeem Nicks | New York Giants | Injury, Fantasy
New York Giants WR Hakeem Nicks (finger) is still dealing with swelling in his middle finger after dislocating it in the team's Week 2 game. Nicks said he is fine and will just tape it up.
Nicks returned to the game after suffering the injury and did not show up on the Giants practice report, so it appears this will not slow him down.
TE | Marcedes Lewis | Jacksonville Jaguars | Injury, Fantasy
Jacksonville Jaguars TE Marcedes Lewis (calf) did not practice Wednesday, Sept. 18.
TE | Vernon Davis | San Francisco 49ers | Injury, Fantasy
San Francisco 49ers TE Vernon Davis (hamstring) did not practice Wednesday, Sept. 18.
It's uncertain at this point if it is precautionary, or if he is in danger of missing Week 3. He left the Week 2 game against the Seattle Seahawks in the second half after pulling up lame.
TE | Jermichael Finley | Green Bay Packers | Injury, Fantasy
Green Bay Packers TE Jermichael Finley (toe) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 18.
Finley's status for Week 3 is in some question, but we'll know more in the next two days. If he is able to start, he is a Top 10 fantasy option at his position.
TE | Heath Miller | Pittsburgh Steelers | Injury, Fantasy
Pittsburgh Steelers TE Heath Miller (knee) practiced in full Wednesday, Sept. 18.
Miller could very well be back this weekend against the Chicago Bears, but we wouldn't advise starting him until next weekend, when it's much more realistic that he may return. Pick him up if you're in need of a TE; Ben Roethlisberger will likely rely heavily on Miller with the team lacking a strong running game.
TE | Zach Sudfeld | New England Patriots | Injury, Fantasy
New England Patriots TE Zach Sudfeld (hamstring) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Sept. 18.
TE | Rob Gronkowski | New England Patriots | Injury
New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (back, forearm) was limited during practice Wednesday, Sept. 18.

Philadelphia Eagles TE Brent Celek (shoulder) practiced in full Wednesday, Sept. 18, and is probable for Week 3.
TE | Anthony Fasano | Kansas City Chiefs | Injury
Kansas City Chiefs TE Anthony Fasano (ankle) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 18, and is listed as doubtful for Week 3.
PK | Kai Forbath | Washington Redskins | Injury, Fantasy
Washington Redskins PK Kai Forbath (groin) did not practice Wednesday, Sept. 18.
PK | Dustin Hopkins | Buffalo Bills | Injury
Buffalo Bills CB Ron Brooks (foot), CB Stephon Gilmore (wrist), WR Marquise Goodwin (hand) and PK Dustin Hopkins (groin) all were limited in practice Wednesday, Sept. 18.
PK | Connor Barth | Tampa Bay Buccaneers | Injury, Transaction
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers restructured PK Connor Barth's (Achilles') contract to drop his 2013 salary from $2.3 million to $500,000 Wednesday, Sept. 18. The team will also reduce his 2014 salary from $3.15 million to $2 million. He can recoup all of the lost money through a roster bonus that would give him $71,875 per game. Barth will spend the entire year on the Non-Football Injury list after tearing his Achilles' playing in a charity basketball game.
