New York Mets manager Terry Collins doesn't foresee a platoon arrangement at shortstop between SS Omar Quintanilla and SS Ruben Tejada (quadriceps) when Tejada is ready to return. Right now it's too far down the road. But I'm not going to take Q out of the lineup at this particular time except to get him a blow."

SS | Hanley Ramirez | Los Angeles Dodgers | Fantasy
Los Angeles Dodgers SS Hanley Ramirez said his shoulder feels much stronger and looser these days. "When you have that confidence, when you don't have anything holding you back, when you don't have any pain, you're going to produce on the field," Ramirez said. "It feels good right now. I have to keep doing my shoulder program. I have to stay on top of it." He feels the most comfortable at the plate since he won the National League batting title in 2009.

SS | Derek Jeter | New York Yankees | Injury, Fantasy
New York Yankees SS Derek Jeter (ankle) ran outdoors on Thursday, June 27, for the first time since the discovery that he'd reinjured his ankle. It's considered the last major hurdle before he can begin game-like action. He hopes to run the bases soon but doesn't know when that'll be. His running activity will have to increase gradually, so he doesn't have a timetable for progressing to a rehab assignment, but Jeter said he felt good while running.

Third Baseman

3B | Brett Lawrie | Toronto Blue Jays | Injury, Fantasy
The Toronto Blue Jays will take their time with 3B Brett Lawrie's (ankle) rehab assignment because they do not want him to rush his return. His rehab assignment is expected to last for around two weeks.

They are also willing to carry Ethier as a fourth outfielder for the rest of the season as insurance. OF Yasiel Puig's emergence has made Ethier expendable, and OF Joc Pederson is a year away from making his impact at the big league level. Los Angeles seems content to stick with 3B Juan Uribe at third base.

OF | Bryce Harper | Washington Nationals | Injury, Fantasy
Washington Nationals OF Bryce Harper (knee) is expected to play eight or nine innings in another rehab game Thursday, June 27, and the team hopes to have him back from the disabled list Monday, July 1.

1B Mark Trumbo, who has been struggling, also sat on Thursday. "I don't know if it's a timing issue, but he doesn't look as comfortable in the batter's box as he did before," said manager Mike Scioscia. 2B Howard Kendrick was in the cleanup spot. Scioscia wasn't sure whether he'd stick Trumbo back in the cleanup spot when the slugger returns to the lineup on Friday, June 28, against the Houston Astros.

OF | Jorge Soler | Chicago Cubs | Injury, Fantasy
Chicago Cubs OF Jorge Soler (shin) has a stress fracture in his left tibia and will be in a walking boot for four to six weeks. The Cubs cannot say whether Soler will miss the rest of the minor league season, but he will miss the Futures Game. This turns out to be quite a blow. Soler has had a mixed back of a year, putting up a solid .281/.343/.467 slash line in 236 plate appearances for Class A Advanced Daytona, but also getting a suspension for his role in a bench-clearing confrontation, getting benched for a perceived lack of hustle and now this injury. SP | Chris Sale | Chicago White Sox | Fantasy,
The Chicago White Sox are willing to trade any play except for 1B Paul Konerko and SP Chris Sale this summer, according to rival executives. The White Sox could part with OF Alex Rios, SS Alexei Ramirez and SP John Danks, and they are currently involved in some discussions with other clubs. The Texas Rangers, New York Yankees, San Francisco Giants, Philadelphia Phillies and Kansas City Royals could all be fits for Rios, and the Los Angeles Dodgers make sense for Ramirez.

Chicago could get the idea to sell RP Jesse Crain as a ninth-inning man during a soft market for closers. He has roughly $2.25 million left on his salary this year. SP Jake Peavy (rib) could wind up being the best available pitcher on the market this summer, but he still has three weeks before he's back from the disabled list. Toronto Blue Jays SP Chien-Ming Wang, who is 1-0 with a 2.18 ERA in three starts heading into his matchup against the Boston Red Sox Thursday, June 27, has been working on a slider in between starts recently. "It's not like we're making stuff up out there, I've heard the term junk-baller and I think it's the furthest thing from the truth. His breaking ball has good spin, and he can change speeds with his split and his changeup. It's just him evolving into a different pitcher as he gets older," pitching coach Pete Walker said.

Boston Red Sox SP John Lackey appears to be a new man physically now that he's 100 percent healed from Tommy John surgery. During his win over the Colorado Rockies Wednesday, June 26, Lackey's fastball was topping out at 95 mph, and he attacked hitters ferociously. Two-thirds of his 98 pitches were fastballs, and nine of his 12 strikeouts came on swings and misses. "The Tommy John surgery, the rehab, the reshaping of the body -- it's almost like we're looking at a different guy in a couple of ways," said manager John Farrell. "His stuff doesn't tail off as it might have early on when he signed here. He's always been a tenacious competitor, we continue to see that every time he walks to the mound."

SP | Drew Pomeranz | Colorado Rockies | Fantasy,

Price said his left triceps, the strain of which landed him on the DL, felt fine after the outing, and he seems as if he believes that he's ready to come off the disabled list. His fastball was regularly between 92 and 94 mph, and he worked in all his secondary pitches.

SP | Jerome Williams | Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim | Injury, Transaction, Depth Chart Tidbit, Fantasy
