Quarterback

QB | Ryan Tannehill | Miami Dolphins | Fantasy
Miami Dolphins WR Brian Hartline praised QB Ryan Tannehill on a conference call with fans Tuesday, June 25. He said the second-year QB "has taken a huge step. I couldn't ask for more. He's making every throw. He's got great touch. His deep ball is awesome."

QB | Michael Vick | Philadelphia Eagles | Depth Chart Tidbit, Fantasy
Philadelphia Eagles QB Michael Vick said he and head coach Chip Kelly have an understanding after Vick made comments earlier in the offseason that he hoped a starter would be named by training camp. "Coach and I talked, and we have an understanding," Vick said. "I think the most important thing is the relationship that we have and continue to carry on, and the working relationship, which has been great. You're just trying to do what's best for this football team, and that's the reason I came back, to try and help this football team win games in the best way possible."

QB | Jake Locker | Tennessee Titans | Fantasy
Tennessee Titans WR Nate Washington sees similarities between QB Jake Locker and a young Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger. "I was there in Ben's second year, and right away you kind of understood that even in his second year, he was gonna be a good quarterback, a guy that could make plays. That's the same thing with Jake," Washington said. "He's a guy who can make plays. I tell everybody all the time, this is football, and it's a gladiator sport, but it's not a dumb man's sport."

Locker appears more comfortable as the leader of the offense now that he's not competing for a starting job. The team has also retooled their entire offense under offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains in order to simplify the terminology to suit Locker. Locker has quickly adapted to the new system, and he has a much higher comfort level this year.

Running Back

RB | Maurice Jones-Drew | Jacksonville Jaguars | Fantasy
Jacksonville Jaguars RB Maurice Jones-Drew is likely to have a civil lawsuit filed against him stemming from the nightclub altercation.

RB | Ray Rice | Baltimore Ravens | Depth Chart Tidbit, Fantasy
Baltimore Ravens RB Ray Rice said he has to be smart about not trying to do too much as he gets older. "Going into Year 6, you have to be smart," Rice said. "I know I have a lot of football left, but the name of the game is longevity for me now. I've proved I can be a Pro Bowl player and I still know I can go out there and make many more Pro Bowls. Part of the lesson you learn is being smart and realizing you can't go out there and do it all on your own. For me, I'm in a great situation, I've a got a young back in Bernard Pierce and we can share the load. But I know when it's a crucial situation, like a fourth down or a big third down, I go out there and make as many plays as a I can."

Fullback

FB | Vonta Leach | Free Agent | Free Agents, Fantasy
The agent for free-agent FB Vonta Leach (Ravens) said Tuesday, June 25, that the Miami Dolphins remain the frontrunner for Leach's services, but he might take one more visit elsewhere, presumably with the New York Giants. "(Miami's) the right place to be. We're trying to crunch numbers," Leach's agent said.

Wide Receiver

WR | Victor Cruz | New York Giants | Transaction, Free Agents
New York Giants DE Justin Tuck said he thinks WR Victor Cruz did the right thing by signing his RFA tender. "I really think that is going to expedite things," Tuck said. "I hope it does. WR | Keenan Allen | San Diego Chargers | Fantasy
San Diego Chargers WR Keenan Allen worked with the first-team offense on the final day of the team's minicamp WRs Danario Alexander and Eddie Royal dinged up with undisclosed injuries. Allen said he's comfortable with the playbook and the offense's terminology. "He's done a nice job buying into what we're doing," head coach Mike McCoy said. "It's a change for him. We're moving guys around, and the skill-position guys really need to know every position because you never know when Philip is going to check at the line of scrimmage. You have an idea where you're playing, but when it comes to a formation, Philip can audible something whenever he wants. ... You've got to know every position."

Tight End

TE | Aaron Hernandez | Free Agent | Free Agents

TE | Vernon Davis | San Francisco 49ers | Depth Chart Tidbit, Fantasy

Defensive Line

DL | Antonio D. Smith | Houston Texans | Depth Chart Tidbit
The Houston Texans could use San Francisco 49ers DE Justin Smith's contract extension framework for a new deal with DE Antonio D. Smith. Smith has a $9.5 million cap number in 2013, and the team only has $2.809 million in cap space. They could open up some more space by signing Smith to a restructured extension.

DL | Armonty Bryant | Cleveland Browns | Depth Chart Tidbit
Cleveland Browns rookie DE Armonty Bryant admitted Tuesday, June 25, to having a substance abuse problem. However, he said fellow rookie LB Barkevious Mingo, team support and some powerful messages at the NFL's rookie symposium have been helpful. Bryant was arrested for DUI less than a week after being picked by the Browns in the seventh round of the draft, and he was arrested twice at East Central (Okla.) University for selling $20 worth of marijuana to undercover cops. He said he has sworn off drugs and alcohol, and plays a lot of X-Box while hanging with Mingo.

DL | Anthony Spencer | Dallas Cowboys | Free Agents, Fantasy
The Dallas Cowboys and DE Anthony Spencer ended contract extension talks. The two sides have to work out an extension by July 15, or Spencer will become an unrestricted free agent after the 2013 season.

DL | Israel Idonije | Detroit Lions | Depth Chart Tidbit
Detroit Lions DL Israel Idonije will add depth to the Detroit Lions defensive line. Idonije has played both defensive tackle and defensive end, and knows the division well, playing against the division for the past nine seasons.

DL | Richard Seymour | Free Agent | Free Agents, Fantasy
Free-agent DT Richard Seymour (Raiders) said he doesn't have any regrets about his career and would be fine with retiring if he isn't signed by a team this offseason. Seymour said he could have signed with a team if he wanted to by now, but he'll only do so if he receives the right offer. The Atlanta Falcons are closely tied to his services.

Linebacker

LB | Barkevious Mingo | Cleveland Browns | Transaction

Cornerback

CB | Captain Munnerlyn | Carolina Panthers | Depth Chart Tidbit
Carolina Panthers CB Captain Munnerlyn has high hopes for the team's defense in 2013, saying they have the potential to be of the best in the NFL in 2013. "Nobody (is) really giving us a chance in the secondary, you know, to be great, or having any talent in the secondary. For me, being a leader in the secondary, it's my opportunity to step up and be that guy," Munnerlyn said." It's going to be scary how good (this team) can be. And I'm excited about this year. I feel like we can be the top defense in (the NFL)."
