Pittsburgh got poor production from their running backs last year, and RB Jonathan Dwyer led the team in rushing with only 623 yards, the lowest total by a rusher in team history since Merrill Hoge ran for 810 in 1991. Bicknell had success with the blocking scheme with the Kansas City Chiefs last year. "We are going to be dedicated to the zone," RB Isaac Redman said. "We are still going to be a power team, but we are going to have this zone scheme in so we can keep the defense on its heels and keep them running."


Wide Receiver

Houston Texans WR DeVier Posey (Achilles') could begin the 2013 regular season on the Physically Unable to Perform list if his recovery from an Achilles' tendon injury goes slowly.

Offensive Line

Defensive Line

The Detroit Lions are cramming as much football knowledge as they can into first-round pick DL Ezekiel Ansah. "It's all new to him," coach Jim Schwartz said. "We did talk about how Ziggy was an inexperienced player, but he was very instinctive playing things like screens and reverses and some trap blocks and draws and things like that that you would think an inexperienced player would struggle on. He did well on all those things."

DL | Michael Johnson | Cincinnati Bengals | Transaction
The Cincinnati Bengals and DL Michael Johnson have until July 15 to reach an agreement on a long-term contract or Johnson will play on the one-year franchise tag, worth $11.175 million. The Bengals have not signed a player to an extension in the season they have tagged him since former RB Rudi Johnson's deal back in 2005.

In 2014, Harper's salary will reduce from $6 million in his previous deal to $2.35 million, with another $800,000 in bonuses. As such, his cap number reduces then, too, from $7.9 million to $5.87 million. His restructured deal also includes an extension into 2015, with his salary set to be $2.7 million, with another $800,000 in bonuses, and a cap figure of $4.47 million.
