"But that will be left shoulder-related and whether he's physically able to do that. Right now, his strength is improving. In due time, he has to get in a cage."

It was his second straight start that he has gotten 22 outs. Cashner is averaging 95 mph on his fastball this year, which is down from 98 mph from last year. He's also using his two-seamer and knuckle-slider more often, which creates more of a speed difference with his changeup. Cashner's changeup is also a bit slower this year, down to 85.7 mph from 87.4 mph last season. Cashner has given up an earned run and nine hits while walking four in 14 2/3 innings in his last two starts. However, his strikeouts per nine innings are down from 10.10 last year to 6.39 this year.
