QB | EJ Manuel | Buffalo Bills | Fantasy
Buffalo Bills head coach Doug Marrone indicated Tuesday, April 30, that the team's research indicated they needed a strong-armed quarterback that could handle poor or wet weather conditions like the weather in Buffalo in the fall and winter. When the team worked out QB EJ Manuel in private, the weather was not cooperative. There were thunderstorms, and it was windy, in Tallahassee, but Manuel performed well. That solidified the team's feelings Manuel could do well in poor weather.

WR | Da'Rick Rogers | Buffalo Bills | Transaction, Free Agents, Fantasy
Buffalo Bills general manager Buddy Nix said Tuesday, April 30, that the team had a first-to-second round grade on WR Da'Rick Rogers, whom the team signed as an undrafted free agent. "Being from Tennessee, I've known his background," Nix said. "He's from Calhoun, Georgia, I knew him when he was playing in high school. The guy's got tremendous talent. He's made some bad decisions. It's gotten him in trouble. Got him out of the University of Tennessee, from an All-SEC performance in his sophomore year, and he goes to Tennessee Tech where he has a so-so year. He played down to the level of competition, really. But this guy's talented. He can play. The ball's in his court. He goes by the rules, and does like he's supposed to, or he goes somewhere else."

WR | DeAndre Hopkins | Houston Texans | Depth Chart Tidbit, Fantasy

Defensive End

DE | John Abraham | Free Agent | Free Agents
The New England Patriots could potentially be interested in free-agent DL John Abraham (Falcons). Head coach Bill Belichick has a penchant for adding veteran edge players who can add situational help, and the team is always in the hunt to add more.

CB | Jamar Taylor | Miami Dolphins | Draft
Miami Dolphins CB Jamar Taylor (kidneys) had medical tests at the NFL Scouting Combine which turned up a worrisome red flag.

According to a source, Taylor has had high blood pressure since high school, and he was placed on medication that has serious side effects for some, especially black males. The medication damaged Taylor's kidneys, and anti-inflammatories made it worse. When tested at the combine in February, his kidneys were functioning at 42 percent efficiency, alarming Taylor and NFL teams. The blood pressure medication was found to be the culprit, and he has no pre-existing kidney condition. He was placed on new blood pressure meds and told not to take anti-inflammatories. While his kidneys were left with scar tissue, doctors expect their operating efficiency to improve. While the condition was explained teams, several picking between 25 and 45 of the 2013 NFL Draft voiced their concern and decided to pass, thus Taylor landing with the Dolphins.

FS | Malcolm Jenkins | New Orleans Saints | Depth Chart Tidbit
