  • I believe that I've come up short in LABR (and Tout Wars, with a couple of second-place finishes in the mixed league) because I haven't yet completely trusted my philosophy, one that has helped me win plenty of other leagues, although none of this caliber.
  •

  • Nonetheless, I've learned so much from competing against the people (outstanding people, by the way -- past and present participants) in each of these leagues in my first three years in them. I owe them all a big thank-you for the examples they set and their influences on my philosophy's evolution.
  •

  • I'm thrilled with my projected potential profitability. (I'm down with PPP. Yeah, you know me.) It's loaded with risk, but I accept that. It's not for everyone. It's worked for me.
  •

  • I'll be on the lookout for opportunities to add stolen bases and starting pitchers. I've built the kind of offense that could provide me with some -- perhaps a lot of -- leverage to explore them. I also have a latent surplus of saves, but that's a much tougher commodity with which to exert control in the barter market, so I'm going to have my work cut out for me there.
  •

  • My solitary, glaring mistake, because of its (1) timing and (2) effect on my roster's composition, is the Janssen purchase. Read about that plus, more importantly, the reactions and thoughts from all other participants in the March 20 issue of Sports Weekly.
