7) Everth Cabrera, 2B/SS, San Diego Padres

Team: Steve Gardner, USA TODAY/Sports Weekly | Roster

Middle infield is getting very thin now with Neil Walker and Derek Jeter off the board. My team appears to be solid in power and average, so I can take a shot on what could be an elite steals source.

New York Yankees SP Hiroki Kuroda

8) Addison Reed, RP, Chicago White Sox

Team: Mark Chamberlin, Baseball Sharks | Roster

Happy to see him still here. With Matt Thornton already battling an injury and Reed having worked out the kinks in 2012, the table is set for him to take off this year.

9) Justin Morneau, 1B, Minnesota Twins

Team: Tim Heaney, KFFL | Roster

Didn't necessarily need another 1B or my utility spot filled, but since SPs seem all too similar at this point, why not bolster my bats even further. I'm quite high on this forgotten masher this year. A healthy 2012 and offseason set the stage for a 25- or 30-homer ceiling for this year with a .280ish BA. This covers my Paul Konerko selection a bit, too. Morneau is one of my favorite fantasy bargains for 2013.

10) Hiroki Kuroda, SP, New York Yankees

Team: Nicholas Minnix, KFFL | Roster

I was unable to pass on a good value pick. I didn't have any particular player or position in mind when this spot came up, because many of my desired targets from this point forward are probably more of the late-round variety. Kuroda, with consistently above-average skills indicators, seems like a pretty safe addition, and his projection, with regression built in, suggests that the first line of this write-up will hold true.

11) Dayan Viciedo, OF, Chicago White Sox

Team: Howard Bender, FanGraphs | Roster

Too many strikeouts and a weak walk rate will hinder the average, but the 25-home run power is legitimate. The fact that he is just 24-years old also means there's room to grow so it is quite possible that there is even more power on the horizon. Word out of Sox camp also says he may see time at first base so dual-position eligibility could be in play at some point too.

12) Marco Scutaro, 2B/SS, San Francisco Giants

Team: Pasko Varnica, Mastersball | Roster

I considered Dan Uggla, but took Scutaro because of his dual position eligibility, to cover potential loss of my primary SS Jose Reyes.
