QB | Joe Flacco | Baltimore Ravens | Fantasy
Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco is averaging 16.7 yards per completion by going deep to WRs Torrey Smith and Anquan Boldin.

QB | Tom Brady | New England Patriots | Fantasy
The New England Patriots may have to consider reducing QB Tom Brady's workload. He threw the ball 637 times this season, the most in his career, and his numbers took somewhat of a dip in 2012. Brady's completion percentage of 63 percent was his lowest percentage since 2006. The percentage of his passes that went for touchdowns dropped to 5.3, his lowest number since 2009. His average yards per pass was 7.6, his lowest since 2008. Brady also struggled in the final month of the season, completing 58.5 percent of his passes in December and averaging seven yards per pass. He had 10 touchdowns but also five interceptions.

QB | Mark Sanchez | New York Jets | Fantasy
New York Jets general manager John Idzik reiterated during a radio interview there will be competition for the team's starting quarterback job. When asked if he's comfortable with QB Mark Sanchez as the starting quarterback, Idzik replied, "I'm comfortable with Mark being a Jet."

QB | Christian Ponder | Minnesota Vikings | Fantasy
The Minnesota Vikings finished the regular season 31st in passing offense, posting 171.9 net yards per game, down from 28th in 2011. The biggest difference was a slip in red-zone touchdown rate, going from ninth in the NFL, to 18th with a 53.8 percent conversion rate. The Vikings also dropped in third-down conversion rate from 14th in the league, to 19th with a 37.1 percent success rate. Despite those numbers, QB Christian Ponder improved in nearly every statistical category, although his performance was uneven over the course of the season.

QB | Joe Webb | Minnesota Vikings | Fantasy
Minnesota Vikings QB Joe Webb was limited to just three snaps in mop-up duty during the regular season, and he started the Wild Card game loss against the Green Bay Packers. He is expected to have competition for the No. 2 job as he enters a contract year, and he could be shopped to a team committed to exploring zone-read possibilities.

QB | McLeod Bethel-Thompson | Minnesota Vikings | Depth Chart Tidbit, Fantasy
Minnesota Vikings QB McLeod Bethel-Thompson was inactive for all 16 regular season games, and he dressed for the Wild Card game against the Green Bay Packers, but did not play. He has a strong arm, but his game remains raw. Still, he is expected to challenge for the backup role in 2013 with QB Joe Webb.

Running Back

RB | Bernard Pierce | Baltimore Ravens | Fantasy
Baltimore Ravens RB Bernard Pierce (knee) has drawn praise from LB Ray Lewis and the coaching staff leading up to Super Bowl XLVI against the San Francisco 49ers. Lewis compared Pierce to former Ravens RB Jamal Lewis. Pierce rushed for 169 yards in three playoff games, averaging 6.3 yards per carry despite a bone bruise in his right knee.

RB | Shane Vereen | New England Patriots | Free Agents, Fantasy
New England Patriots RB Shane Vereen has shown flashes of athleticism, speed and pass-catching ability, even though he played just 13 percent of the snaps in 2012. Fellow RB Danny Woodhead is set to become a free agent, so Vereen could be in line for a larger role next season if Woodhead is not brought back.

RB | Toby Gerhart | Minnesota Vikings | Fantasy
Minnesota Vikings RB Toby Gerhart was expected to split time with RB Adrian Peterson early on, but he ended up in the same backup role he's always been. Gerhart is entering a contract year, and he has minimal mileage on his body. He figures to return as Peterson's primary backup unless the team can find value in the trade market.

FB | Jerome Felton | Free Agent | Free Agents, Fantasy
Impending free-agent RB Jerome Felton (Vikings) showed decent blocking skills to allow the Minnesota Vikings to incorporate more lead and power-scheme plays, which is when RB Adrian Peterson did most of his damage. Felton will become an unrestricted free agent in March, and he figures to be a priority for the club to re-sign.

Wide Receiver

WR | Randy Moss | San Francisco 49ers | Free Agents
San Francisco 49ers WR Randy Moss plans to play at least one more year, even if the team wins Super Bowl XLVII, according to a source with knowledge of the receiver's thinking. Moss is scheduled to become a free agent in March.

WR | Victor Cruz | New York Giants | Fantasy
New York Giants WR Victor Cruz had 10 receptions for 96 yards and a touchdown in the Pro Bowl Sunday, Jan. 27. The 10 receptions were a Pro Bowl record.

WR | A.J. Green | Cincinnati Bengals | Fantasy
Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green had seven receptions for 119 yards and three touchdowns in the Pro Bowl Sunday, Jan. 27. He is the seventh player in the All-Star game's history to have three or more scores in the game. He has four touchdowns in his two Pro Bowl appearances.

WR | Michael Jenkins | Minnesota Vikings | Fantasy
Minnesota Vikings WR Michael Jenkins is due a $2.425 million roster bonus due on the fifth day of the new league year. He is not expected to collect the bonus.

WR | Jarius Wright | Minnesota Vikings | Fantasy
Minnesota Vikings WR Jarius Wright had four dropped balls in 2012, and he had a memorable damaging missed block in the playoff game against the Green Bay Packers. Still, he has a tremendous skill set, and his role in 2013 and beyond likely hinges on the future of WR Percy Harvin with the team.

WR | Jerome Simpson | Free Agent | Free Agents, Fantasy
Impending free-agent WR Jerome Simpson (Vikings) had an injury-filled season, and he did little statistically when healthy. Simpson was also credited with four dropped balls. In addition, he missed a block which led to the season-ending injury to WR Percy Harvin (ankle). Simpson might return on another short-term deal at the right price, as he is not expected to have much value on the open market. However, the Vikings might just decide to move on after the disappointment of 2012.

WR | Greg Childs | Minnesota Vikings | Injury, Fantasy
Minnesota Vikings WR Greg Childs (knee) is making his way back from torn patellar tendons in both knees suffered in camp in August. He said he has no doubt he will play in 2013.

Tight End

TE | Kyle Rudolph | Minnesota Vikings | Fantasy
Minnesota Vikings TE Kyle Rudolph had five receptions for 122 yards and a touchdown in the Pro Bowl Sunday, Jan. 27. He was named the game's most valuable player.

TE | Rhett Ellison | Minnesota Vikings | Fantasy
Minnesota Vikings TE Rhett Ellison caught seven passes for 65 yards in 2012, and spent a lot of time on special teams coverage units. He is viewed as a hard-nosed and highly competitive player who should only see his role continue to grow, especially if TE John Carlson (knee) is not back.

TE | John Carlson | Minnesota Vikings | Injury, Fantasy
Minnesota Vikings TE John Carlson (knee) struggled to get involved in the passing game in his first season in Minnesota, and that is supposed to be his strength. He received $7.9 million in the first year of his deal (including deferred payments) and would have $1.2 million of his $2.9 million base salary for 2013 fully guaranteed if he's on the roster when the league year begins. The team might give him another chance if he is healthy, but nothing is certain after a disappointing 2012 season.

TE | Vernon Davis | San Francisco 49ers | Fantasy
San Francisco 49ers TE Vernon Davis has bought into the team's philosophy that they will throw to the receiver or tight end with the most advantageous coverage, according to offensive coordinator Greg Roman. Davis acknowledged when he first entered the NFL he was all about himself and his numbers. However, now he is just happy to be on the field even if he isn't catching passes. "I'm not worried about the statistics, because those things will come," Davis said. Davis only had six catches for 61 yards during the team's final six regular-season games, but he has caught six passes for 150 yards and a touchdown on 11 targets in two playoff games this year.

San Francisco 49ers DE Justin Smith (triceps) said his torn left triceps has been getting better. "I can do more stuff every week," said Smith.

DL | J.J. Watt | Houston Texans | Injury
Houston Texans DT J.J. Watt (hand) suffered a laceration to his left hand in the first quarter of the Pro Bowl Sunday, Jan. 27. He was able to continue playing, and he even lined up at wide receiver on the third play of the game, missing a pass from Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning.

DL | Casey Hampton | Pittsburgh Steelers | Free Agents
The Pittsburgh Steelers are not expected to re-sign impending free-agent DT Casey Hampton this offseason.

LB | Ahmad Brooks | San Francisco 49ers | Injury
Updating a previous report, despite a nagging left shoulder injury and dislocated finger suffered in training camp, San Francisco 49ers LB Ahmad Brooks (finger, shoulder) will be in the starting lineup in Super Bowl XLIV against the Baltimore Ravens Sunday, Feb. 3, according to head coach Jim Harbaugh.

CB | Bill Bentley | Detroit Lions | Injury
Detroit Lions CBs Bill Bentley (shoulder), Chris Greenwood (abdominal) and Jonte Green were drafted last April, but remain unproven. Bentley missed most of the season due to a shoulder injury, Greenwood missed the entire year due to an abdominal ailment, and Green was mostly a backup.

CB | Chris Houston | Free Agent | Free Agents
Impending free-agent CB Chris Houston (Lions) has been the top cornerback for the past three seasons for the Detroit Lions, and he is an unrestricted free agent who is expected to be a commodity in free agency.

Free Safety

FS | Ed Reed | Baltimore Ravens | Free Agents
Baltimore Ravens impending free-agent FS Ed Reed will likely hit the market this offseason. The New England Patriots appear to be a favorite to sign Reed if he tests free agency, as head coach Bill Belichick is a big fan of his.
