Oklahoma City Thunder
Kevin Martin is averaging 13.6 points per game and 2.3 threes over the last eight games, including Christmas. On the season he's tied for seventh in the league when it comes to three point percentage at 43.6 percent.
Don't be fooled by Kendrick Perkins' sudden surge in rebounds, 8.0 over the last seven games. His microscopic percentages and points per game barely move the needle.
Must start: Russell Westbrook, Kevin Durant, Serge Ibaka
Rookie Andrew Nicholson is getting a look as a starter but still plays limited minutes. He's averaging 11.4 points over the last five games on just 17.2 minutes. As the Magic continue to slide Nicholson may get more opportunities, though.
Must start: Jameer Nelson, Arron Afflalo, Nikola Vucevic, J.J. Redick
Over the last 11 games John Salmons has averaged 14.0 points a game on .504 percent shooting to go with 1.7 threes. As long as the percentage remains strong Salmons' otherwise hallow line is worth hanging onto as a mild helper.
In that same span of time Jason Thompson is shooting .533 with 13.0 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game.
Must start: DeMarcus Cousins
The Raptors feature the undervalued front court of Amir Johnson and Ed Davis. They are both scoring in double digits with six or seven rebounds and a block per game.
Over the last 10 games Alan Anderson averaged 15.8 points, 2.5 threes and 1.3 steals. The 30 year old journeyman is making the most of his playing time with injuries mounting north of the border.
Must start: Jose Calderon, DeMar DeRozan
The Wizards end the week with three games in four days so banged up players like John Wall (knee) and Nene Hilario (knee) may not be able to take advantage of their four-game week.
Must start: Bradley Beal
Must start: Andre Drummond, Greg Monroe
Must start: Jrue Holiday, Evan Turner, Thaddeus Young
Must start: Goran Dragic, Jared Dudley, Luis Scola, Marcin Gortat
Must start: Paul Millsap, Al Jefferson
New York Knicks
Must start: J.R. Smith, Carmelo Anthony, Tyson Chandler
