Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: QB - Week 17 (with video)
If you are serious about winning your fantasy league football championship, stay on top of your fantasy football team throughout the year.
Each week during the NFL fantasy football season, KFFL brings you its Fantasy Football Waiver Wire, which breaks down players to pick up. Be aggressive when picking up fantasy football free agents. Even if you do not need a player, you can tuck him away for depth or block others from adding him to their fantasy football team.

Fantasy football free agents: One-week plays
The following fantasy football pickups are for those who need injury or bye week replacements. They are not players you immediately acquire - unless your team is in dire straits. Some have, however, shown some life and should be followed in case they materialize as options beyond their temporary use.
Nick Foles sustained a hairline fracture in his throwing hand in Philly's Week 16 loss to the Washington Redskins. Head coach Andy Reid indicated that Vick is a good possibility to start in the Eagles' regular season finale versus the New York Giants, who have played some seriously uninspired football of late. In the past month, the G-Men have given up 274 yards and 1.75 touchdowns per game through the air.
Vick, 32, has had a disappointing season, but in his eight games before the one in which he suffered a concussion this year, he averaged more than 19 fantasy points per. He's also looking to prove that he's still an NFL-caliber starting quarterback, and Week 17 represents his only chance to do before he and the team likely part ways.
Cutler hasn't done much the past two weeks, but with a little help the Bears can still find their way into the playoffs. To have a chance they'll need to upend the Detroit Lions, who have allowed 222.7 passing yards and 1.33 touchdowns per game to opposing quarterbacks since Week 13. Even though it's not a smokin' matchup it's a meaningful game for Cutler against an opponent that's just playing out the string.
If you're looking for a complete flier then look no further than McCown, who backs up Matt Ryan. With the No. 1 seed locked up it's unclear how much Ryan will play, if he does at all, and the Falcons have a fantastic matchup against the suddenly dysfunctional Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In their last four games, the Bucs have surrendered 281.5 yards and a league-high 2.75 touchdowns per game to the position.
Monitor the situation, and if McCown appears to be in line for heavy playing time give it some thought.
