Quarterback

QB | Robert Griffin III | Washington Redskins | Injury, Fantasy
Washington Redskins QB Robert Griffin III (knee) is still being considered day-to-day this week, according to head coach Mike Shanahan. Shanahan won't say if he expects Griffin to practice Wednesday, Dec. 19, and there is no indication if he'll be able to return in Week 16. "If the doctors give their okay, he's going to play," Shanahan said.

QB | Aaron Rodgers | Green Bay Packers | Injury, Fantasy
Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers (ankle) will suit up in Week 16. "No doubt I'll play Sunday," Rodgers stated.

QB | Tim Tebow | New York Jets | Fantasy
New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan said the team may find a way to incorporate QB Tim Tebow into the Week 16 game plan against the San Diego Chargers, according to a source. QB Greg McElroy will receive the start over QB Mark Sanchez.

QB | Kevin Kolb | Arizona Cardinals | Fantasy
The Arizona Cardinals may decide to release QB Kevin Kolb following the 2012 season. Kolb has played just 15 of a possible 32 games for the team in his two seasons in the desert. "Clearly Arizona has to do something at the quarterback position, and more than likely I think they'll wipe themselves out after two years of the Kevin Kolb experiment," ESPN NFL insider John Clayton said. "I don't know if they move on Alex Smith or draft a quarterback, but they've got to do something."

QB | Ben Roethlisberger | Pittsburgh Steelers | Fantasy
Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said QB Ben Roethlisberger is on board with the team's offensive play calling after the quarterback criticized the team's plan in Week 15 by saying "we didn't call the right play." Roethlisberger said he was disappointed he wasn't allowed to run the no-huddle offense more in the second half of the game.

Running Back

RB | Matt Forte | Chicago Bears | Fantasy
Chicago Bears RB Matt Forte has one touchdown on eight goal-to-go carries this season, giving him just 10 touchdowns on 94 such carries during his career.

RB | Jackie Battle | San Diego Chargers | Fantasy
San Diego Chargers head coach Norv Turner said RB Jackie Battle will get a chance to play in Week 16, and appeared to favor him over RB Curtis Brinkley.

RB | Stevan Ridley | New England Patriots | Fantasy
New England Patriots RB Stevan Ridley has fumbled the football three times the past two games, officially losing two of those fumbles. It is not believed, however, the team has lost confidence in Ridley.

RB | Ahmad Bradshaw | New York Giants | Injury, Fantasy
New York Giants RB Ahmad Bradshaw (foot, knee) feels that he is ready to play in Week 16, but he is still awaiting clearance from doctors before he can return to game action.

RB | Ryan Mathews | San Diego Chargers | Injury, Fantasy
The San Diego Chargers placed RB Ryan Mathews (clavicle) on the season-ending Injured Reserve list Tuesday, Dec. 18, due to the fractured left collarbone he suffered in the Week 15 game against the Carolina Panthers.

RB | Bilal Powell | New York Jets | Fantasy
New York Jets RB Bilal Powell has seen more carries with QB Mark Sanchez struggling. Powell has had 54 carries in the last four games, compared with 35 rushes in the first nine contests. RB Shonn Greene will continue to see the majority of the carries, but Powell will continue to be mixed in. "They're two totally different players, and they complement each other really well," offensive coordinator Tony Sparano said. Powell and Greene have been seeing more running opportunities because head coach Rex Ryan said they have transitioned from a more zone rushing attack to a gap running attack.

RB | Jonathan Dwyer | Pittsburgh Steelers | Fantasy
Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said the team is happy with the rotation they have at running back right now. RB Jonathan Dwyer has started the last two games with RB Isaac Redman backing him up. The club will find a role for RB Rashard Mendenhall.

Wide Receiver

WR | Michael Crabtree | San Francisco 49ers | Fantasy
San Francisco 49ers WR Michael Crabtree has been targeted 34 times in the team's last three games. He has 23 catches for 301 yards and two touchdowns with 90-plus receiving yards in each game during that span. Crabtree's sure hands have helped QB Colin Kaepernick, who has a 113.6 rating in his five starts when targeted the receiver.

WR | Marvin Jones | Cincinnati Bengals | Fantasy
Cincinnati Bengals WR Marvin Jones might be in line for a big game in Week 16 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers blanketed WR A.J. Green in the first meetings, limiting him to one catch. Jones said Tuesday, Dec. 18, he isn't sure if the Steelers are going to blanket Green again, trying to let others beat them, but he is ready. "It's a possibility," Jones said. "We're not in this league by default. We can make the plays."

WR | Cecil Shorts | Jacksonville Jaguars | Injury, Fantasy
Jacksonville Jaguars WR Cecil Shorts (concussion) was able to play all 62 offensive snaps in Week 15 against the Miami Dolphins after missing the Week 14 game.

WR | Malcom Floyd | San Diego Chargers | Injury, Fantasy

WR | Andre Johnson | Houston Texans | Injury, Fantasy
Houston Texans WR Andre Johnson (groin) had only nine catches for 164 yards in the first four games of the season, but he wasn't completely healed from a groin injury that he suffered in training camp. Since Week 4, Johnson has averaged 8.4 catches and 119.6 yards per game. "I'm feeling a lot better," Johnson said. "I feel like my explosion came back. That's a big part of my game, so I feel a lot better than I did at the beginning." He's coming off an eight-game stretch in which he has 68 catches for 1,002 yards. Johnson needs just seven grabs and 140 yards in the final two games to join former WR Marvin Harrison as the only receivers with at least 100 catches and 1,500 yards in three seasons. He could also join former WR Jerry Rice as the only wideouts with 100 catches and 1,500 yards in their 10th season or later.

WR | Greg Jennings | Green Bay Packers | Fantasy
Green Bay Packers WR Greg Jennings would like to remain in Green Bay, but he indicated that he doesn't want to play under the franchise tag next season. There have been no negotiations between Jennings and the team, however.

WR | Pierre Garcon | Washington Redskins | Fantasy
Washington Redskins WR Pierre Garcon has been the team's leading target receiver, despite which quarterback was in the game. QB Kirk Cousins targeted Garcon 12 times in Week 15, while WR Santana Moss had six targets.

Tight End

TE | Jason Witten | Dallas Cowboys | Fantasy
Dallas Cowboys TE Jason Witten has 97 receptions through Week 14, and he needs just six more receptions over the next two games to set the single-season NFL record for catches by a tight end. Atlanta Falcons TE Tony Gonzalez holds the record of 102, set in 2004 when he was a member of the Kansas City Chiefs.

TE | Vernon Davis | San Francisco 49ers | Fantasy
San Francisco 49ers TE Vernon Davis is having to rebuild chemistry with QB Colin Kaepernick. "That's something me and Kap don't have right now," said Davis, who was held to one catch in Week 15. "We don't have it. You have to expect (that because) he just stepped in. Me and Alex - we've been there. It takes time. It took time for me and Alex to get like that." Davis has had only four catches and 29 yards in four games since Kaepernick's debut, in which Davis had a season-high six receptions for 86 yards and a score.

Place Kicker

PK | Mike Nugent | Cincinnati Bengals | Injury, Depth Chart Tidbit, Fantasy

Defensive Line

DL | Justin Smith | San Francisco 49ers | Injury
San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh said Tuesday, Dec. 18, he expects DT Justin Smith (arm) to play in Week 16 after he sustained an arm injury last week. "Everybody affectionately refers to Justin Smith around here as 'The Cowboy,'" Harbaugh said. "I expect we'll see The Cowboy. Knowing what I know of Justin Smith and the situation, I think The Cowboy will be around, saddled up ... roping and riding. If it's humanly possible, The Cowboy will be out there, roping and riding."

Cornerback

CB | Charles Woodson | Green Bay Packers | Injury
Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy would not guarantee CB Charles Woodson (collarbone) would be back for the Week 16 game against the Tennessee Titans, but he did say he hoped the veteran would see some game action before the playoffs start. "Charles Woodson's situation is, we're going to play him as soon as we're ready," McCarthy said.

CB | Jimmy Smith | Baltimore Ravens | Injury
Baltimore Ravens CB Jimmy Smith (hernia) said he was rusty in his first game action in Week 15 since he had sports hernia surgery in mid-November. Smith did not play in the second half against the Denver Broncos. "He wasn't 100 percent out there," head coach John Harbaugh said. "And that's something you don't know until you get into the game. And unfortunately, he wasn't as quick as I'd hoped he would be. We'll have to see how he does this week. Sometimes in practice it's a little harder to judge that."

CB | Ike Taylor | Pittsburgh Steelers | Injury
Pittsburgh Steelers CB Ike Taylor (ankle) will miss his third straight game in Week 16. CB Keenan Lewis (hip) is expected to play against the Cincinnati Bengals, although he'll be limited in practice early in the week.
