Even if you do not need a player, you can tuck him away for depth or block others from adding him to their fantasy football team.

Fantasy football free agents: Priority additions

The following players should be high on your radar and are worthy of being added immediately to your fantasy football team.

Brandon Myers, Oakland Raiders (38 percent)

Another Tony TE relevant in KC

If the waiver wire article were to adopt a mascot, it'd have to be Myers, who has taken up residence on a near-weekly basis. The human tractor beam hauled in six passes for 55 yards and a touchdown (his third is as many games) on Sunday. In 10 games this season, Myers has surpassed 40 receiving yards nine times - and tallied more than 50 seven. Despite not being the flashiest option, Myers is a steady producer.

Fantasy football free agents: Look to acquire

The following players will have greater significance in deep fantasy football leagues. In shallow fantasy football leagues, they are not as high of a priority but should be considered based on your fantasy football team's needs.

Tony Moeaki, Kansas City Chiefs (97 percent)

OK, we get it. The 2012 Chiefs have been doing a 10-game impression of the Hindenburg... well, if the Hindenburg had crashed into an orphanage that doubled as a training facility for Corgi puppies. Oh, the caninity! Ahem; all that being said, somebody has to produce numbers in KC. Enter Moeaki, who has seven grabs for 141 yards the past two games. With Dwayne Bowe (neck) banged up, the talented tight end could have some desperation value.

Dallas Clark, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (89 percent)

Josh Freeman tends to favor a vertical passing game, but Clark's involvement as an underneath option has been creeping up. Over the last five games he has averaged 34.8 receiving yards and 0.6 touchdowns per game. If you can afford to carry a backup tight end, Clark is an interesting choice.

Fantasy football free agents: One-week plays

The following fantasy football pickups are for those who need injury or bye week replacements. They are not players you immediately acquire - unless your team is in dire straits. Some have, however, shown some life and should be followed in case they materialize as options beyond their temporary use.

NEW - Rob Housler, Arizona Cardinals (97 percent)

Tight ends haven't exactly flourished under head coach Ken Whisenhunt during his time with the Cardinals, but if they turn to quarterback Ryan Lindley this Sunday the rookie could look Housler's way early and often. If that happens the St. Louis Rams appear to be ideal opponents - they have allowed 78.3 yards and 0.67 touchdowns per game to tight ends over the last month. That being said, Housler is a desperation play to be sure.
