OF | Nolan Reimold | Baltimore Orioles | Injury, Fantasy
Baltimore Orioles OF Nolan Reimold (neck) is done with his rehab and has been working out in hopes to be fully healthy for spring training. He'll receive another X-ray in December to ensure his neck is fully healed before hitting the weight room full bore. Reimold is on track for full baseball activities after Christmas, a routine he's kept in previous seasons when healthy. Baltimore isn't sold on having Reimold serve as their starting left field come opening day, though, and they've been looking around in free agency.

OF | Lorenzo Cain | Kansas City Royals | Fantasy
Kansas City Royals OF Lorenzo Cain plans to put in plenty of work this winter to strengthen his legs in order to avoid a repeat of the injuries he dealt with to his lower half this season. "I'm going to drive up here once a month and stay here for a few days and just try doing stuff to strengthen my legs to prevent some of these injuries," Cain said. "That's my main focus, just to come here and work on certain areas that I'm weak in, and continue to do it throughout the season and stay healthy." OFs Wil Myers, Jarrod Dyson and David Lough will all be competing with Cain next spring for starting spots in the outfield.

St. Louis Cardinals general manager John Mozeliak said the recent good rehab news on SS Rafael Furcal (elbow) and SP Jaime Garcia (shoulder) means he can modify his offseason shopping list. "Knowing that the two players we're talking about have had positive outcomes in (their rehabs) provides optimism," Mozeliak said. "It's something you consider in your offseason strategy. It does mean we don't have to chase a shortstop at this point."

"I can't even tell you what my throwing program will be at the start of any week," Beachy said. "I specifically told (the trainers) not to tell me. Just when I show up, tell me what I have to do that day. That way, I'm not looking ahead, because I know I'll just get anxious and start circling dates on my calendar." He has already played catch from 30, 45 and 90 feet, and he has regained some arm strength slowly. Beachy will be cleared to throw off a mound again in a couple of months if he doesn't suffer any setback, and he'll likely increase his activity during spring training.
