Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: WR - Week 9 (with video)
If you are serious about winning your fantasy league football championship, stay on top of your fantasy football team throughout the year.
Each week during the NFL fantasy football season, KFFL brings you its Fantasy Football Waiver Wire, which breaks down players to pick up. Be aggressive when picking up fantasy football free agents. Even if you do not need a player, you can tuck him away for depth or block others from adding him to their fantasy football team.

Fantasy football free agents: Priority additions
The following players should be high on your radar and are worthy of being added immediately to your fantasy football team.
Young went off against a tough Seattle Seahawks secondary in Week 8, catching all nine passes thrown to him for 100 yards and two touchdowns. If only someone had possessed the foresight to recommend picking him before he had his big day. Wait, what's that? I wrote that owners should add him "at once" last week? That's a good point, me. I did write that.
Well, if you were skeptical before, be sure to add him this week before he travels to play the Jacksonville Jaguars, who have been outscored 95-20 in three home games this season.
Toss out his Week 7 no-show and Wright has averaged 5.75 receptions, 57.5 yards and 0.5 touchdowns per game during the last five weeks. The rookie hasn't shown much big-play ability thus far, but he should at least provide respectable production in point-per-reception leagues.
Fantasy football free agents: Look to acquire
The following players will have greater significance in deep fantasy football leagues. In shallow fantasy football leagues, they are not as high of a priority but should be considered based on your fantasy football team's needs.
Kerley's numbers fell from seven receptions and 120 yards in Week 7 to five catches for 43 yards on Sunday. However, he was targeted a team-high 11 times and seems to have established himself as one of Mark Sanchez's top options. At worst, Kerley is quality depth.
Although Shorts made a few big plays early on, he didn't gain traction in the Jags' passing game until the last two weeks. During those two games, his first as a starter, he has been targeted 22 times, which has resulted in a dozen receptions, 195 yards and a touchdown (his third this season). The picture could become muddy when Laurent Robinson (concussion) returns, but Shorts has shown enough to warrant picking up in deeper leagues.
With Nate Burleson (leg) out for the season, Broyles has moved up to the No. 3 spot behind Calvin Johnson and Titus Young. Over the last two weeks he has racked up six catches, 88 yards and a pair of touchdowns. In Detroit's pass first (and second, third, fourth ...) offense, the rookie has potential to produce decent although inconsistent numbers.
Fantasy football free agents: One-week plays
The following fantasy football pickups are for those who need injury or bye week replacements. They are not players you immediately acquire - unless your team is in dire straits. Some have, however, shown some life and should be followed in case they materialize as options beyond their temporary use.
McCluster, whose usage waned considerably after a busy Week 1, has seen his involvement rebound the past two games with 12 receptions on 17 targets for 93 yards and a touchdown. A Thursday showdown with the underachieving San Diego Chargers could continue that trend. In the last four weeks, the Bolts have allowed 190.3 yards and an NFL-worst 2.33 touchdowns per game to opposing wideouts. Sounds like a McGood matchup to me.
