Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: TE - Week 8 (with video)
If you are serious about winning your fantasy league football championship, stay on top of your fantasy football team throughout the year.
Each week during the NFL fantasy football season, KFFL brings you its Fantasy Football Waiver Wire, which breaks down players to pick up. Be aggressive when picking up fantasy football free agents. Even if you do not need a player, you can tuck him away for depth or block others from adding him to their fantasy football team.

Fantasy football free agents: Priority additions
The following players should be high on your radar and are worthy of being added immediately to your fantasy football team.
Dogged by a hamstring injury since late August, Keller hauled in all seven of his targeted passes for 93 yards and a touchdown against the New England Patriots. More importantly, he finally looked healthy. Keller posted a solid 65-815-5 line last season, and given the team's lack of playmakers, he should have a significant role going forward as long as he can stay healthy. He's someone to add right now.
Fantasy football free agents: Look to acquire
The following players will have greater significance in deep fantasy football leagues. In shallow fantasy football leagues, they are not as high of a priority but should be considered based on your fantasy football team's needs.
Myers was Oakland's busiest pass catcher in Week 7, being targeted 10 times and catching seven (both team highs). He worked mostly underneath and now has 21 receptions without a score. Those in point-per-reception leagues should take a long look at Myers.
A season-ending injury to Fred Davis (Achilles') thrust Paulsen into the game plan in Week 7, and he responded with four receptions for a team-best 76 yards. If the Redskins appear willing to move forward with the UCLA product as their starter, he becomes someone to add.
Fantasy football free agents: One-week plays
The following fantasy football pickups are for those who need injury or bye week replacements. They are not players you immediately acquire - unless your team is in dire straits. Some have, however, shown some life and should be followed in case they materialize as options beyond their temporary use.
Fasano caught five balls on 10 targets for a season-high 47 yards against the New York Jets the first time these teams met. Why'd he get so many looks? Because no one has allowed more yards per game to the position over the last month than the Jets - 86.3 yards, 0.75 touchdowns per contest. Given New York's issues defending tight ends, Fasano is a legitimate option.
It's hard to score touchdowns in three consecutive games more quietly than Dreessen, whose streak ended in Week 6; though he did post seasonal bests in receptions (six) and yards (57). This week he draws the New Orleans Saints, who have surrendered 63 receiving yards and 0.33 touchdowns per game over their last three. This game has all the makings of a shootout, which could be a boon for Dreessen's Week 8 fantasy prospects.
Fantasy football free agents: Watch list
These fantasy football free agents shouldn't be on your immediate list. They may have had a big week. They may have talent but are buried on the depth chart and merely awaiting an opportunity. Still, fantasy football players must know who they are for their potential contribution in the future.
After Fred Davis (Achilles') suffered a season-ending injury in Week 7 the Redskins looked to their past and brought back Cooley, who was once among the NFL's elite tight ends. The position has been rife with disappointments this season, which at least makes Cooley someone to monitor.
