Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: QB | RB | WR | TE | PK | DT
If you are serious about winning your fantasy league football championship, stay on top of your fantasy football team throughout the year. Each week during the NFL fantasy football season, KFFL brings you its Fantasy Football Waiver Wire, which breaks down players to pick up. Be aggressive when picking up fantasy football free agents. Even if you do not need a player, you can tuck him away for depth or block others from adding him to their fantasy football team. Note: Percentage of polled leagues in which player is available in parentheses Fantasy football free agents: Priority additionsThe following players should be high on your radar and are worthy of being added immediately to your fantasy football team. Josh Gordon, Cleveland Browns (20 percent)
Make it four touchdowns in three games for the rookie, who despite catching just two balls, was still targeted a team-high 10 times on Sunday. Gordon is suddenly the primary receiver on a pass-first club. Add him immediately. Jeremy Kerley, New York Jets (55 percent) Kerley led the Jets with seven receptions for 120 yards in Week 7, and he has now sandwiched a pair of strong performances around a disappointing showing against the Indianapolis Colts in the last three weeks. The weekly ups and downs of Mark Sanchez are well documented; still, Kerley's involvement in the offense should be worth a roster spot in most leagues. With Nate Burleson (leg) suffering a season-ending leg injury on Monday Night Football, Young immediately moves up the pecking order and is now 2a-2b with Brandon Pettigrew behind Calvin Johnson. Young has been kept in check for most of 2012 but did catch six balls for a season-high 81 yards against the Chicago Bears. Look to bring him on board at once. Fantasy football free agents: Look to acquireThe following players will have greater significance in deep fantasy football leagues. In shallow fantasy football leagues, they are not as high of a priority but should be considered based on your fantasy football team's needs. Brandon Gibson, St. Louis Rams (50 percent) Gibson continues to establish himself as the de facto No. 1 receiver for the Rams as Danny Amendola remains out with a shoulder injury. Gibson lacks the big-play ability of teammate Chris Givens, but he's the steadier and more reliable performer. Fantasy football free agents: One-week playsThe following fantasy football pickups are for those who need injury or bye week replacements. They are not players you immediately acquire - unless your team is in dire straits. Some have, however, shown some life and should be followed in case they materialize as options beyond their temporary use. Much has been made of Jay Cutler's past with Brandon Marshall. Don't overlook his history with Bennett, though, as the former college teammates have shown good chemistry in the past. He's no threat to Marshall, but with Alshon Jeffery (hand) hurting Bennett could shine against a Carolina Panthers secondary that has given up 162.7 yards and 1.33 touchdowns per game to wideouts in the past four weeks. Fantasy football free agents: Watch listThese fantasy football free agents shouldn't be on your immediate list. They may have had a big week. They may have talent but are buried on the depth chart and merely awaiting an opportunity. Still, fantasy football players must know who they are for their potential contribution in the future. Leonard Hankerson, Washington Redskins (90 percent) With Pierre Garcon (foot) inactive once again and Fred Davis (Achilles') sustaining a season-ending injury during the game, Hankerson ended up leading the Redskins in receptions (six) and finishing second in yards (70). The issue with Hankerson is that his value is largely dependent on Garcon's health. That makes him more of a factor in deeper leagues. Stephen Hill, New York Jets (70 percent) At 6-foot-4, 215 pounds, Hill is the most physical of New York's receiving options. Since missing time with a hamstring injury, the rookie has totaled seven receptions, 78 yards and a touchdown in two games. Based on upside, Hill could be a viable grab-and-stash option.
