In this article KFFL breaks down the fantasy football sleepers of the week. We will avoid marquee names because players of that caliber are rarely benched, regardless of their matchup. Instead, we will focus on the players that make your fantasy lineup decisions stressful each week. Read on to learn which midrange to low-end players you wouldn't necessarily consider that you need to get into your lineup.

Fantasy football sleepers: Place kickers

Robbie Gould, Chicago Bears vs. Detroit Lions

Party on, Barth

Fantasy value: High-end No. 1

• The Lions have provided one of the best matchups of the season for place kickers thus far. In their last three games, they yielded 3.67 field goal attempts and 3.0 extra-point attempts per game to the position. In them, opponents converted only 2.67 field goal attempts per game, but even with such a poor conversion rate, kickers averaged 11 points in those matches.
• Gould remains one of the most accurate kickers in football. He hasn't missed an attempt yet this season. In his last three games, he attempted 2.33 field goals and 3.67 extra points per game.
• In their two contests before their Week 6 bye, the Bears demonstrated that their offense is beginning to mesh under OC Mike Tice. He and Jay Cutler appear to be getting on the same page, and they had a week off to fine-tune things.

NEW - Dan Bailey, Dallas Cowboys at Carolina Panthers

Fantasy value: High-end No. 1

• Bailey's numbers are just OK, if not particularly low in the extra point department. He has averaged 1.33 touchdown cappers and 2.33 three-pointers on 2.67 tries. That is good for 8.3 fantasy points per game, on average.
• No team has been worse than the Panthers against the position - by a good margin. Carolina has afforded footers 3.67 field goal tries (all good) and 2.33 extra points each week.
• Bailey could be available on your waiver wire if you need a one-week play.

Connor Barth, Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. New Orleans Saints

Fantasy value: No. 1 or bench

• Barth is a top-12 booter in points per game through six games. He's also made about 85 percent of his field goal attempts in his brief career.
• The Bucs, with the additions of Vincent Jackson and Doug Martin, are fielding a respectable offense in 2012. In their past three games, they provided Barth with 2.00 field-goal attempts and 2.33 extra-point attempts per game. Barth missed one of his three-point tries in that stretch.
• New Orleans has been in shootout after shootout this season because of its oft-poor defense. Place kickers have benefited by setting their sights on the uprights frequently. In the Saints' last three tilts, they allowed kickers to try 2.67 field goals and 2.67 extra points a game.
