Third Baseman

3B | Alex Rodriguez | New York Yankees | Fantasy
In an interview on ESPN Radio, New York Yankees team president Randy Levine refused to speculate whether 3B Alex Rodriguez will be around the team in 2017, when his mega 10-year, $275 million contract expires. "If I had (a) crystal ball to predict all of that stuff, I'd be a lot smarter than I am. I'm not going to go there. That's stuff for people to speculate on ... but it's irresponsible for me to do so," Levine said.

Texas Rangers 3B Mike Olt (foot) will play third base and the outfield in the Dominican Republic Winter League this offseason. OF | Jose Bautista | Toronto Blue Jays | Injury, Fantasy
Toronto Blue Jays OF Jose Bautista (wrist) is ahead of schedule in his recovery from season-ending left wrist surgery, and he thinks he could be game-ready in November. "The wrist is feeling good. It's getting the range of motion back," Bautista said at an end-of-the-year press conference. "Still a little bit of soreness and a little bit of stiffness, but it's pretty normal considering the point in the recovery that I'm at right now." He'll likely begin a strengthening program before the end of this month, at which point he'll resume swinging a bat. Bautista is fully confident that he'll be able to return with 100 percent strength after talking to several players that have had similar surgeries.

"I still consider Valverde the closer," Leyland said. "It's just a matter of having a conversation with him (Tuesday), see how's he's feeling, see what the pitching coach thinks.
