The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have the fourth-ranked run defense in the league. They've allowed 75.0 rushing yards per game and 3.1 yards per carry (tops).
PT Cruisin' for fantasy points?
Fortunately for the owners of Darren Sproles and Pierre Thomas, the Bucs have had a lot of trouble covering anyone in the passing game - and that includes backs. Players at the position have averaged 6.4 receptions and 46.7 receiving yards in five games against Tampa Bay.
In five games, Sproles has attempted only 17 rushes (5.4 yards per carry), but he (not surprisingly) has 28 catches for 235 yards and a couple of TDs. Thomas has run it 37 times (4.9 yards per carry) and has tacked on 13 receptions for 139 yards. The New Orleans Saints like to deploy him on screen passes on occasion.
Several high-end RBs are off in Week 7, so Sproles could even end up fitting the bill as an RB1 in PPR leagues, although you're obviously in better shape if he's your RB2 in this situation. The PT Cruiser could be an above-average bye-week substitute, too.
And don't even think about playing Mark Ingram.
