Fancy fantasy football: WRs for Week 5 byes - T.Y. Hilton, Andrew Hawkins

Byes are in full swing in Week 5. Some fantasy non-starters and otherwise-fringe players made positive impressions when I delved into rankings initially.

T.Y. Hilton, Indianapolis Colts

The Green Bay Packers' pass rush could make life hard for Andrew Luck. The Pack's primary objective may be to suffocate Reggie Wayne, similar to the way they took Brandon Marshall away from the Chicago Bears in Week 2. Assuming that the Indianapolis Colts don't eliminate the running back from the game of their own accord, they should create enough hesitation to give Luck time on occasion.

Hilton is among a few interesting targets for Indy, with Donnie Avery also earning consideration this week. Coby Fleener could have the best game of his young career, too. I'm a fan of Hilton because of the chemistry he and Luck seemed to have in the preseason. Luck has been letting it fly, and his team's D doesn't figure to slow down Green Bay too much.

Andrew Hawkins, Cincinnati Bengals

Last week, the Miami Dolphins' top cornerback asked his coaching staff to pit him against Larry Fitzgerald in their then-upcoming matchup with the Arizona Cardinals. Sean Smith drew the assignment in a game that went into OT. Fitz received 15 looks and caught eight balls for 64 yards and a TD. Smith picked off two passes.

Miami's 6-foot-3, 218-pound DB isn't elite, but he's definitely good, and he obviously loves a challenge. It's fair to say that he did enough to earn another shot at the top wideout on his team's opponent each week. He won't shut down A.J. Green on Sunday, but Smith should convince Andy Dalton to throw it in the direction of someone else on a few more occasions than ordinary.

Hawkins, Cincy's slot man, figures to be one beneficiary. Armon Binns may be one as well, but this especially looks like an appealing week to start tight end Jermaine Gresham.
