Davey Johnson cemented his ninth-inning changes Monday, announcing Drew Storen will be the primary Washington Nationals closer, though they'll also mix in Tyler Clippard. Both Storen and the usurped Clippard pitched Monday in a blowout win; Clippard threw the eighth and, as he's been doing lately, allowed a run on two hits. Storen also yielded two knocks but didn't give up a tally.

Clippard is still worth holding onto in deep leagues, but you may only get one save spot.

The Chicago White Sox committee may have a new member: On Monday, Donnie Veal came in with two outs after Matt Thornton, who started the ninth, gave up two singles, including a two-out one-bagger. Veal came in and allowed a run-scoring double, but he also induced the game-winning bounce-out.

Veal's tantalizing talent is finally producing quality MLB innings, chiefly as a designated LOOGY. Oddly enough, lefty lumber got to him when he was at Triple-A Charlotte, but he's embraced the role with the big club. That being said, he's only an AL grab, considering how little time is left in the season and the fact that he's the second southpaw at the back end behind Thornton, who has the upper hand in save spots.
