Fantasy football free agents: Priority additions

The following players should be high on your radar and are worthy of being added immediately to your fantasy football team.

Atlanta Falcons (36 percent)

One week after forcing Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning into three interceptions, the Falcons harassed the San Diego Chargers into turning the ball over four times in Week 3. That gives Atlanta 11 takeaways on the year, which helps make up for an average pass rush (seven sacks). The Falcons are rolling right now, and in Week 4 they welcome the Carolina Panthers, who are fresh off a five-turnover performance this past Thursday. Unless you own an elite defense the Falcons are worth adding.

Fantasy football free agents: One-week plays

The following fantasy football pickups are for those who need injury or bye week replacements. They are not players you immediately acquire - unless your team is in dire straits. Some have, however, shown some life and should be followed in case they materialize as options beyond their temporary use.

NEW - San Diego Chargers (73 percent)

Only a handful of defenses have produced fewer big plays than the Chargers, who have five sacks and three takeaways in three games. That being said, the Chiefs have had their share of struggles both in protecting the quarterback (11 sacks allowed) and the football (nine turnovers). If you're someone that plays the matchups with their defense the Bolts offer significant upside.
