Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: QB | RB | WR | TE | PK | DT
If you are serious about winning your fantasy league football championship, stay on top of your fantasy football team throughout the year. Each week during the NFL fantasy football season, KFFL brings you its Fantasy Football Waiver Wire, which breaks down players to pick up. Be aggressive when picking up fantasy football free agents. Even if you do not need a player, you can tuck him away for depth or block others from adding him to their fantasy football team. Note: Percentage of polled leagues in which player is available in parentheses Fantasy football free agents: Look to acquireThe following players will have greater significance in deep fantasy football leagues. In shallow fantasy football leagues, they are not as high of a priority but should be considered based on your fantasy football team's needs. Sam Bradford, St. Louis Rams (56 percent)
Bradford was dismal in 2011; thus, it's understandable if he wasn't in your 2012 draft plans. After looking efficient in Week 1, however, Bradford looked like a legitimate playmaker against the Washington Redskins. His 310 passing yards were his most since October of last season, and his three touchdown passes matched a career high. Tougher matchups are looming for Bradford, beginning this coming Sunday against the Chicago Bears, but he has shown enough to warrant consideration as your backup signal caller. Fantasy football free agents: One-week playsThe following fantasy football pickups are for those who need injury or bye week replacements. They are not players you immediately acquire - unless your team is in dire straits. Some have, however, shown some life and should be followed in case they materialize as options beyond their temporary use. After authoring one of the worst debuts in recent memory, Weeden rebounded with a big game against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 2. His final line: 26-for-37, 322 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions. The rookie has a chance to build on that momentum this week against a Buffalo Bills team that has allowed five passing touchdowns (tied for second most in the league) and 283.5 passing yards per game this year. Fantasy football free agents: Watch listThese fantasy football free agents shouldn't be on your immediate list. They may have had a big week. They may have talent but are buried on the depth chart and merely awaiting an opportunity. Still, fantasy football players must know who they are for their potential contribution in the future. Christian Ponder, Minnesota Vikings (79 percent) Another young quarterback that appears to be on the right track is Ponder. Through two weeks, he has completed 75.8 percent of his 62 passes for 515 yards, two touchdowns and zero interceptions. He has also looked poised in leading Minnesota to a pair of late, game-tying drives. It's fair to question the competition level Ponder has faced thus far - to wit it'll be interesting to see how he fares against the formidable San Francisco 49ers defense in Week 3.
