Bay is batting only .158 with seven home runs and 18 RBIs in 198 plate appearances this season. "I just think that those concussions take an effect on guys," Collins said. "There are times when you see everything you thought that he could bring to the table - great defender, a good thrower, power, a tremendous teammate. And then, all of a sudden, there will be some times where he struggles. He has no answers to it."

Cincinnati Reds SP Bronson Arroyo added a backdoor sinker against left-handed batters to his arsenal this season and it's been a big part of his success this year. "It has because lefties have to respect that a little bit more than they have in the past," Arroyo said. "In years past if I couldn't throw a fastball in there for a strike to lefties, it left me throwing a lot of backdoor breaking balls and change-ups - a lot of soft stuff away. It keeps them leaning out there. It's been good to keep them honest from that side of the plate." Lefties are hitting .283 off Arroyo this year after hitting .317 against him last season.
