Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: QB | RB | WR | TE | PK | DT
If you are serious about winning your fantasy league football championship, stay on top of your fantasy football team throughout the year. Each week during the NFL fantasy football season, KFFL brings you its Fantasy Football Waiver Wire, which breaks down players to pick up. Be aggressive when picking up fantasy football free agents. Even if you do not need a player, you can tuck him away for depth or block others from adding him to their fantasy football team. Note: Percentage of polled leagues in which player is available in parentheses Fantasy football free agents: Priority additionsThe following players should be high on your radar and are worthy of being added immediately to your fantasy football team. Coby Fleener, Indianapolis Colts (30 percent) That Andrew Luck would lean heavily on fellow Stanford product Fleener was not unexpected. Still, it's nice to get confirmation as Luck went Fleener's way 10 times in Week 1; that resulted in six receptions for 82 yards. The Colts have easier matchups the next two weeks (hosting Minnesota and Jacksonville) so it'd be wise to pounce on Fleener now. He has good upside and at worst should be a capable reserve. Kyle Rudolph, Minnesota Vikings (42 percent)
In the Vikings passing game it has been Percy Harvin and everyone else. Well, Rudolph is looking to fill that void as the club's No. 2 target. Coming off an unimpressive rookie campaign, the former Golden Domer tallied five catches for 67 yards versus Jacksonville. His seven targets were second to Harvin, and he even did a decent job of stretching the field. Anyone looking for a reserve with upside should add Rudolph. Fantasy football free agents: Look to acquireThe following players will have greater significance in deep fantasy football leagues. In shallow fantasy football leagues, they are not as high of a priority but should be considered based on your fantasy football team's needs. A year ago, Pitta (40-405-3) and Ed Dickson (54-528-5) siphoned too many receptions from one another to hold much fantasy value. This past Monday, however, it was all Pitta, all the time, as his five catches, 73 yards and one touchdown dwarfed Dickson's paltry 2-22-0 line. Pitta also saw three times as many targets (nine) as Dickson (three). It's only one week, and the trend could reverse itself in Week 2, but if Pitta has truly surpassed Dickson as Baltimore's primary tight end he has some real potential. Fantasy football free agents: Watch listThese fantasy football free agents shouldn't be on your immediate list. They may have had a big week. They may have talent but are buried on the depth chart and merely awaiting an opportunity. Still, fantasy football players must know who they are for their potential contribution in the future. Marcedes Lewis, Jacksonville Jaguars (79 percent) Lewis' Week 1 production (five catches, 52 yards and a score) was solid, and he's just one year removed from a 700-yard, 10-touchdown campaign. That being said, we'd like to see a little more before we sign off on Lewis for owners in shallow leagues after his dreadful work in 2011.
