San Diego Padres manager Bud Black said Wednesday, Aug. 29, that RP Joe Thatcher (knee) might be back from the 15-day disabled list Friday, Aug. 31. He was scheduled to make a minor-league rehab appearance with Class A Lake Elsinore Wednesday.

RP | Huston Street | San Diego Padres | Injury, Fantasy,
San Diego Padres RP Huston Street (calf) will make a minor-league rehab appearance Friday, Aug. 31, with Class A Lake Elsinore. Barring any setbacks, he'll fly to Denver Saturday, Sept. 1, and will be back in time to come off the 15-day disabled list Sunday, Sept. 2, according to manager Bud Black.

RP | Kenley Jansen | Los Angeles Dodgers | Injury, Fantasy,
Los Angeles Dodgers RP Kenley Jansen (heart) was held out Tuesday, Aug. 28, and Wednesday, Aug. 29, because of his ongoing heart condition. He spent time on the disabled list earlier this year with an irregular heartbeat. If Jansen is experiencing hemorrhaging, he could be lost for the rest of the season. RP Ronald Belisario was used to close out the game Wednesday, earning his first save of the season.

RP | Ryan Cook | Oakland Athletics | Fantasy,
Oakland Athletics RPs Ryan Cook and Sean Doolittle both recently discovered flaws with their pitching mechanics. Doolittle and pitching coach Curt Young recently saw that Doolittle's arm slow was lower, and he was slinging the ball toward the plate rather than achieving a nice downward angle with the ball. As a result, he lost some velocity and late motion on his heater. Doolittle hasn't given up a run in his last eight games after making a correction.

Cook lost the closer gig after a stretch of four blown saves and a 10.13 ERA in eight games. Doolittle noticed a flaw in Cook's delivery, but Cook didn't want to expand on the details. Since making a correction, Cook hasn't given up a run in his last six games.

RP | Scott Elbert | Los Angeles Dodgers | Injury, Transaction,
The Los Angeles Dodgers placed RP Scott Elbert (elbow) on the 15-day disabled list with left elbow inflammation Wednesday, Aug. 29, and recalled RP Shawn Tolleson from the minors in a corresponding move.
