7) Dan Bailey, place kicker, Dallas Cowboys Fantasy football analysis: Dallas figures to score often this season and Bailey is their kicker. In 2011, as a rookie, he connected on 32 of 37 field goal attempts. He is having an excellent camp. He will be a sound kicker for my team. I look for him to kick 30 or more field goals and lots of extra points for the dynamic Dallas offense in 2012.
8) Robbie Gould, place kicker, Chicago Bears Fantasy football analysis: One thing that impressed me about Gould is that he was 6-for-6 from 50-plus yards last season. He's an extremely accurate kicker, and his offense is projected to pick it up a notch this season. There are kickers out there with higher-powered offenses, but none as accurate as Gould. 9) New York Giants defense/special teams Fantasy football analysis: An ultra-aggressive defensive coordinator, arguably the deepest, most dynamic front four in the game, and an improved linebacking corps make the Giants a quality No. 1 fantasy D. I expect a top-five showing from this unit. 10) New England Patriots defense/special teams Fantasy football analysis: Tough decision here: I think the Chargers' D could improve leaps and bounds this year, but their division always plays tough. And the Pats have a better schedule, and ... look at their AFC East foes. Any improvement from the secondary, including a full season from Patrick Chung, will complement what rookies Chandler Jones and Dont'a Hightower can offer. They'll still own a solid pass rush, too. 11) Jason Hanson, place kicker, Detroit Lions Fantasy football analysis: The 42-year-old Hanson showed no signs of slowing down in 2011, converting 24 of 29 field goal attempts and making all 54 of his extra-point attempts. I expect him to have another solid season in 2012, due to the Lions' high-powered offense and the fact that Hanson will play more than half of his games in a domed stadium. 12) Mike Nugent, place kicker, Cincinnati Bengals Fantasy football analysis: After being somewhat of a bust in his time with the New York Jets, Nugent has landed on his feet in Cincinnati. In his season and a half with the Bengals, he has connected on 48 of his 57 field goal attempts. He is coming off a career-high 33 makes last year on 38 attempts, and he tied a career-high with four field goals from beyond 50 yards. I also expect his PAT total to jump in 2012 as the young Cincinnati offense continues to improve. How do you feel about each selection? Would you have made the same move?
