Michael Bush is a fantasy football enigma
July 20, 2012 @ 17:18:49 PDT
In 2011, he seemed to hit the wall by failing to average 4.0 yards per carry in all but one of his final seven games. He was primarily used as a short-yardage back early in the season when Darren McFadden was healthy, which can help explain his 2.9 yards-per-tote average in games that he ran fewer than 11 times. In the matchups that Bush topped that 11-carry mark, he averaged 4.0 yards per carry. It will be interesting to see how Chicago uses him and if, behind a suspect offensive line, Bush can be effective enough to warrant anything more than being insurance for Forte owners. Right now, Bush's ADP puts him in the seventh round, but that number will move closer toward the end of the draft in the coming weeks now that Forte is under contract. I probably wouldn't consider him until the 11th round, even if I draft Forte. About Cory J. Bonini
