Tennessee Titans offensive coordinator Chris Palmer said the team's quarterback competition between QBs Matt Hasselbeck and Jake Locker remains even heading into training camp. "I am really proud of both quarterbacks. We are very pleased with both of them," Palmer said. "They're even. It is a competition right now. Coach Munchak has made that statement and when the time comes and everyone is comfortable with who the starting quarterback is, then Coach Munchak will announce it."
RB | Matt Forte | Chicago Bears | Free Agents
As of early Monday, July 16, the Chicago Bears have yet to come to terms on a new deal with franchise free-agent RB Matt Forte. The hope is Sensabaugh can take part in the first full-squad practice July 30, but the team will be cautious.
SS | Jim Leonhard | Free Agent | Injury, Free Agents
Free-agent SS Jim Leonhard (Jets) said he is still hopeful of earning a spot at a team's training camp after suffering a knee injury last season. "I'm a free agent right now, hopefully in the next few weeks I get some workouts and get a contract," Leonhard said. "The knee is feeling great and I am ready to go. I am getting antsy, football is right around the corner and I don't have a team, kind of getting antsy ready to get back on that field. You just keep working, you keep grinding and good things are going to happen. I know I am going to be playing football somewhere this season, I just have to figure out where. I am excited for that day."
