QB | Ryan Tannehill | Miami Dolphins | Draft
The Cleveland Browns were impressed with Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill's size and arm strength during the NFL Draft process; however, his maturity as a quarterback and field leader were so lacking that he turned the Browns off in personal interviews. He didn't project as a leader.

QB | Robert Griffin III | Washington Redskins | Draft
The Cleveland Browns never expressed a great amount of interest in Washington Redskins QB Robert Griffin III during the NFL Draft process. The Browns thought Griffin was too small and too eager to show how fast he could run. They pursued him just enough to say they tried.

QB | Drew Brees | New Orleans Saints | Free Agents
The gap in contract talks between the New Orleans Saints and franchise free-agent QB Drew Brees is far smaller than previously reported. Over the past several months, reports have pegged the Saints' offer at $18 million per year, with Brees' demands north of $21 million. Some accounts have put Brees' expectations at $23 million annually. However, that is not the case, according to a source with knowledge of the situation. Brees has never asked for $21 million, and the team is believed to be offering more than $18 million, possibly closer to $19 million than $18 million.

QB | Brandon Weeden | Cleveland Browns | Depth Chart Tidbit, Fantasy
Cleveland Browns QB Brandon Weeden took the first 11-on-11 reps at minicamp Tuesday, June 5, over QBs Colt McCoy and Seneca Wallace. Weeden is expected to open the season as the team's starting quarterback.

QB | Tyler Thigpen | Buffalo Bills | Injury
Buffalo Bills QB Tyler Thigpen (abdomen) will miss at least a week of practices due to an abdominal strain. He should be able to return next week.

Running Back

RB | Trent Richardson | Cleveland Browns | Fantasy
Cleveland Browns RB Trent Richardson figures to see the majority of touches in the team's backfield this year, but head coach Pat Shurmur said there will be "plenty of reps to go around" for the other running backs, namely RBs Montario Hardesty and Brandon Jackson. However, Hardesty could be battling for a roster spot and Jackson must prove he's finally healthy.

FB | Jorvorskie Lane | Miami Dolphins | Transaction, Free Agents
The Miami Dolphins announced Tuesday, June 5, they have signed rookie free-agent FB Jorvorskie Lane (Texas A&M). Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Wide Receiver

WR | Devin Hester | Chicago Bears | Fantasy
Chicago Bears WR Devin Hester may not return kicks this upcoming season due to him having an expanded role offensively. The Bears seem intent on implementing a "Hester package" on offense that could necessitate limiting Hester's special teams workload. "I think every now and then, I'm going to do kickoffs," said Hester, who still is expected to handle most punt returns. "It will depend on how the game is going. If I'm involved in the offense the whole first and second quarters, maybe I'll tell them to cut back on the kickoff returns. If I'm not getting that many touches on offense, of course I'm going to want to get some more touches on kickoff returns. That's how I see things panning out."

WR | Percy Harvin | Minnesota Vikings | Injury
Minnesota Vikings WR Percy Harvin (shoulder) returned to the field for organized team activities Tuesday, June 5.

WR | Denarius Moore | Oakland Raiders | Fantasy
Oakland Raiders WR Denarius Moore could develop into the same type of receiver as Green Bay Packers WR Greg Jennings. Moore could have the same type of role in Oakland that Jennings has in the Packers' offense. Both receivers have the ability to hit the home run deep downfield but can also nickel-and-dime a defense with underneath routes.

WR | Justin Blackmon | Jacksonville Jaguars | Fantasy
Jacksonville Jaguars WR Justin Blackmon, general manager Gene Smith and head coach Mike Mularkey will hold a news conference Wednesday, June 6, to discuss Blackmon's misdemeanor aggravated DUI address in Oklahoma. Blackmon, who was arrested Sunday, June 3, tested for a blood-alcohol level of 0.24, three times the legal limit. Police said a second test was 0.26, which is an indication he was drinking right before he started driving and his body was still processing the alcohol.

WR | Jordan Norwood | Cleveland Browns | Fantasy
Cleveland Browns WR Jordan Norwood said Tuesday, June 5, that he has been impressed with rookie QB Brandon Weeden in organized team activities (OTAs) and minicamp. "(His passes) are certainly more than catchable. Everybody knows he has a strong arm and he's doing a great job so far. There's a lot being thrown at him, but he's an older guy, so he knows how to be professional," Norwood said.

WR | Greg Little | Cleveland Browns | Fantasy
Cleveland Browns WR Greg Little is working after-hours to get on the same page and develop chemistry with QB Brandon Weeden. "He's very capable of making any play. When he's in the huddle, his presence is felt," Little said of the rookie QB. "Guys really understand that he commands excellence when he's in there, and that's what you want in a quarterback."

WR | Braylon Edwards | Free Agent | Injury, Free Agents, Fantasy
The Cincinnati Bengals are believed to have an interest in free-agent WR Braylon Edwards (49ers) (knee), but they are not expected to seriously pursue him until at least a few weeks into training camp as they monitor his return from a knee injury.

The Indianapolis Colts signed free-agent WR Kris Adams (Vikings) to an undisclosed deal Tuesday, June 5, and waived LB Kevin Eagan in a corresponding move.

WR | Santonio Holmes | New York Jets | Fantasy
New York Jets WR Santonio Holmes has not responded to an invite from QB Mark Sanchez to attend the "Jets West" workout, according to a source. Holmes didn't attend the workouts last year either while he was an unrestricted free agent. QB Greg McElroy, WRs Jeremy Kerley, Patrick Turner and Scotty McKnight, RBs Shonn Greene, Joe McKnight and John Conner and TEs Dustin Keller, Jeff Cumberland and Josh Baker will also attend. RB Terrance Ganaway will not be attending, and WR Stephen Hill and RB Bilal Powell have not yet committed.

WR | A.J. Love | Minnesota Vikings | Transaction
The Minnesota Vikings signed undrafted free-agent WR A.J. Love (South Florida) to an undisclosed deal Tuesday, June 5.

Tight End

TE | Jimmy Graham | New Orleans Saints | Fantasy
New Orleans Saints TE Jimmy Graham said he can improve in all areas after putting up huge numbers last season. "Just all the little things, the things I guess people don't notice," Graham said. "I see an extra 30 receptions that I left out there. I see things that I could have done better in blocks and spring running backs free for a couple more yards. I'm a young player, plus I'm young to the game. Every day's a learning experience for me."

TE | Patrick Doyle | San Diego Chargers | Transaction
The San Diego Chargers signed undrafted free-agent TE/FB Patrick Doyle (San Diego) to a three-year deal Tuesday, June 5. Financial terms weren't given.

Defensive Line

DL | Kyle Williams | Buffalo Bills | Injury
Buffalo Bills DL Kyle Williams (Achilles') is a bit ahead of schedule after having surgery in November to remove bone spurs that were tearing at his Achilles' tendon. Williams hopes to be ready for training camp. "Yeah, it's good to be back even for just a few plays here and there," Williams said after taking part in about half of the full-team sessions at organized team activities Tuesday, June 5. "Just getting my foot in the door. And hopefully, when we get to training camp, I can be full bore."

LB | Jonathan Vilma | New Orleans Saints | Injury
New Orleans Saints LB Jonathan Vilma (knee) has made significant progress in the last two weeks after having offseason knee surgery.

LB | Terrell Suggs | Baltimore Ravens | Injury
Baltimore Ravens LB Terrell Suggs (Achilles') continues to say he was injured during conditioning drills, but staff members are saying Suggs played in a three-day basketball tournament the weekend he was hurt. "Well, I have other staff members that told me the same thing. The people who were scorekeeping, keeping the books, running the clock, they all said the same thing. He did it during the game. It looked like he stepped wrong. There was a collision, and he stepped wrong, possibly on someone's foot. It was either the Achilles' or the ankle because it was in that area. After that, he left and didn't play," a staff member said. The team said it won't withhold payments from Suggs either way.

LB | Brandon M. Marshall | Jacksonville Jaguars | Transaction
The Jacksonville Jaguars signed fifth-round draft pick LB Brandon M. Marshall to an undisclosed deal Tuesday, June 5.

LB | Brian Cushing | Houston Texans | Injury
Houston Texans head coach Gary Kubiak said the MRI on LB Brian Cushing's (knee) sore knee came back with positive results. "He's fine. Everything is fine. We will err on the side of caution here. I don't even know if I'll practice him the rest of the week. He did work out, he just didn't go with the team," Kubiak said. It appears as though Cushing won't need surgery.

CB | Rashean Mathis | Jacksonville Jaguars | Injury
Jacksonville Jaguars CB Rashean Mathis (knee) said Tuesday, June 5, that he has been cleared to participate in minicamp next week by renowned Dr. James Andrews. He met with the doctor Monday, June 4. He is uncertain how much work he'll do in minicamp, and will map out a plan with head coach Mike Mularkey.
