KFFL.com's Fantasy Baseball Diamond Market gives you candid reviews and ratings of fantasy baseball players making MLB news in your rotisserie or head-to-head baseball leagues. Are they trade bait or worth your FAAB dollars in your fantasy baseball games?
Alex Presley is returning to the Pittsburgh Pirates' ship. In 18 games at Triple-A Indianapolis, he batted .277 with five home runs. Pittsburgh hasn't announced a corresponding move yet, but that might be a DL placement for hobbled Jose Tabata (leg soreness), per the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. The plate passiveness Presley showed before his exile displayed the adjustments he'll need to make - or continue, if he improved on them during his farm stay. His recall might mark the need to replace Tabata or someone else more than any positive steps Presley took, but at least he was showing signs of utility. His sprinkling of homers and stolen bases will rely heavily on in-play fortune to make a fantasy difference, but if he's hitting the ball harder and near the top of even this spotty lineup, he'll capably cap, say, a five-outfielder mixed squad. While the 26-year-old was revving his engine in Indy, the Buccos also woke up and made Nate McLouth walk the plank. A Tabata exit and Presley entry could sustain the Pirates' setup of Matt Hague at first base and a Garrett Jones-Josh Harrison pairing in right field, though Hague could easily yield to Jones down the road. Jones will have fleeting deep-mixed utility because of his pop, but asking for much else in those sectors is stretching it. Ignore the rest unless you suffer from single-universe desperation.
