2012 NFL Draft - Pick 30: A.J. Jenkins, WR, San Francisco 49ers

The San Francisco 49ers selected Illinois wide receiver A.J. Jenkins with the 30th overall pick of the 2012 NFL Draft.

A.J. Jenkins, WR, San Francisco 49ers

Fantasy analysis: San Fran reached a little with this selection, although Jenkins should develop into a fine pro with time. He really has only one year of big-time production and is probably living off great workout numbers.

Nevertheless, he will have plenty of time to learn behind Michael Crabtree, Randy Moss, Mario Manningham and Kyle Williams. Jenkins should be asked to stretch the field on occasion as a rookie. He could surprise if a few breaks go his way, so you need to keep an eye on his progression in the offseason.

For now, consider Jenkins a valuable long-term fantasy prospect. He has a steep learning curve but should benefit if Moss and Co. can teach him a thing or two.
