The Cleveland Browns selected Oklahoma State quarterback Brandon Weeden with the 22nd overall pick of the 2012 NFL Draft.
Fantasy analysis: Weeden enters the fray with Colt McCoy and probably will battle in training camp for the starting job. The elder statesman of the rookie class has the smarts and tools to win the job outright. Plus, it doesn't hurt his cause that the clock is ticking on this 28-year-old first-round pick. Cleveland will have a sense of urgency to get him onto the field.
His fantasy value is rather pedestrian for a rookie. Consider Weeden, assuming he wins the job in camp, a No. 3 fantasy option in deep leagues. Cleveland has a dearth of talent at wide receiver and needs more help around Weeden before he matters for fantasy purposes.
