The Cincinnati Bengals selected Alabama cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick with the 17th overall pick of the 2012 NFL Draft.
Fantasy analysis: How many corners can one team add in an offseason? All kidding aside, the Bengals nailed it with this one. They get arguably the second best player at the position in the draft and inject youth into their aging secondary. Kirkpatrick gets to learn behind two of the better corners from the last decade.
Kirkpatrick doesn't offer much value for individual defensive player leagues, but he should help contribute as a rookie for the team defense. The Bengals are a respectable No. 1 fantasy defense in 2012.
