The Philadelphia Eagles selected Mississippi State defensive tackle Fletcher Cox with the 12th overall pick of the 2012 NFL Draft.
Cox will be a force in Philly
Fantasy Analysis: The Eagles made a late trade with the Seattle Seahawks to nab the player they coveted. Cox is a monster in the middle, with no real question about the effort he brings, unlike Dontari Poe.
Cox is highly unlikely to make a fantasy football impact directly, at least in his first season or two. However, he should help to free up the talent that the Eagles have assembled at defensive end and their offseason signee, linebacker DeMeco Ryans.
Cox can get after the passer. He'll eventually shed blockers with regularity and perhaps contribute in the tackle department for fantasy purposes, but that won't be in the cards initially.
