It really isn't a surprise that Roush Fenway Racing has been arguably the strongest organization at the start of the 2012 season. However, it is a big surprise that Michael Waltrip Racing might just be the second best organization right now. RFR and MWR currently have six cars in the top 12 in owner points, and MWR has three in the top 10. More importantly for fantasy owners, the MWR and RFR drivers have delivered 19 top-10s in 34 combined starts this season. The two super teams could be heading for a shootout this weekend at Texas Motor Speedway. Martin Truex Jr. fired the first shot for MWR, grabbing the pole for Saturday night's race, while veteran Mark Martin gave his teammate some help at the front of the field with a fourth-place effort in qualifying. However, RFR teammates Matt Kenseth and Greg Biffle will roll off second and third. Not to mention the fact that Kenseth is the defending winner of this weekend's race and Biffle leads all drivers with seven straight top-10 finishes at Texas. Of course, the drivers for both organizations will likely have to contend with Tony Stewart in order to get to Victory Lane. Stewart's weekend has gotten off to a rough start, and he will start all the way back in 29th in a backup car. Still, the defending champ has won four out of the last six races at 1.5-mile tracks, including three straight. He also had the field covered during his win at Texas last fall. It may take him a while to get his No. 14 dialed in and work his way through traffic, but before the checkered flag waves, "Smoke" will likely find a way to be a factor. About Brian Polking
