Wisconsin wideout Nick Toon wrapped up his career with the Badgers and will test the waters of the 2012 NFL Draft.

Toon posted career bests in receptions (64), yardage (926) and touchdowns (10) in 2011. While those numbers don't jump off the page, it should be noted that Toon played in a heavy run-first offense.

Strengths

• Physical hands - uses them well to beat press coverage

• Uses his size well to separate, especially in one-on-one jump-ball situations

• Tough to bring down in the open field

Weaknesses

• Plays too upright at times
• Lacks elite top-end speed (4.53-second 40-yard dash) and burst
• Can get out of position as a run blocker
• Major injury concerns (missed time in three of four seasons)
• Stiff hips - lateral agility is, at best, average
• Drops way too many passes (small hands at only nine inches)

Expected draft placement

Toon projects as a low-end third-round selection or possibly an early final-day pick. He profiles as a glorified possession receiver in the NFL, but he must improve his hands to achieve such.
