QB | Matt Schaub | Houston Texans | Injury, Fantasy
Houston Texans QB Matt Schaub's (foot) rehab from foot surgery is ahead of schedule, and he works out almost daily.

QB | Peyton Manning | Indianapolis Colts | Injury
Despite an earlier report suggesting Indianapolis Colts QB Peyton Manning (neck) would be interested in playing for the Houston Texans, there does not appear any chance he will join the team in 2012. First of all, teams don't know if Manning will play again. Second, Manning does not fit well with the Texans' offensive scheme. He doesn't roll out and is a pocket passer. Manning will go to a team that plays the same offense and is willing for him to basically run it because that's what he did so well with the Colts.

QB | Robert Griffin III | NFL Draft Prospect | Draft
The Denver Broncos did their due diligence on Baylor QB Robert Griffin III earlier this season because of the things he can add to an offense. The Broncos, likely, were doing their homework on Griffin before the emergence of QB Tim Tebow. The team essentially has no shot at selecting Griffin with the No. 25 pick in the NFL Draft.

QB | Shaun Hill | Detroit Lions | Free Agents
The Detroit Lions have informed impending free-agent QB Shaun Hill that they would like to re-sign him this offseason and he might take a small discount to come back.

QB | Kevin Kolb | Arizona Cardinals | Fantasy
Arizona Cardinals QB Kevin Kolb said he is feeling good after missing the final three games of the season because of a concussion. Kolb said it took him three to four weeks after the season to be symptom free and has started to work out.

QB | Chad Henne | Free Agent | Free Agents
The Miami Dolphins are not expected to re-sign impending free-agent QBs Chad Henne and J.P. Losman, RB Steve Slaton, OT Marc Colombo and LB Ikaika Alama-Francis this offseason.

Running Back

RB | Matt Forte | Free Agent | Free Agents
The Chicago Bears have been clear all along that they will place the franchise tag on impending free-agent RB Matt Forte if a long-term contract can't be worked out before March 5.

RB | Rashard Mendenhall | Pittsburgh Steelers | Injury, Fantasy
Updating a previous item, the Pittsburgh Steelers are not counting on RB Rashard Mendenhall (knee) to play in 2012; however, general manager Kevin Colbert didn't rule out a return by the running back sometime next season. "I never feel good about an ACL for a year," Colbert said.

RB | Steve Slaton | Free Agent | Free Agents
The Miami Dolphins are not expected to re-sign impending free-agent QBs Chad Henne and J.P. Losman, RB Steve Slaton, OT Marc Colombo and LB Ikaika Alama-Francis this offseason.

Wide Receiver

WR | Marques Colston | Free Agent | Draft, Free Agents
Although the New Orleans Saints would suffer a huge loss if impending free-agent WR Marques Colston were to sign elsewhere in the offseason, the team does have a history of finding offensive weapons through late rounds of the NFL Draft and with undrafted rookie free agents. The Saints also have other needs, so they may not be able to afford Colston's asking price.

WR | Mike Wallace | Pittsburgh Steelers | Free Agents
The Pittsburgh Steelers could place the franchise tag on restricted free-agent WR Mike Wallace so they can get exclusive negotiating rights.

WR | Randy Moss | Retired | Free Agents
The Washington Redskins are not expected to show interest in free-agent WR Randy Moss (Titans) this offseason.

WR | Doug Baldwin | Seattle Seahawks | Fantasy
Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin said he would like to be more than a slot receiver next season and show that he can make plays when he lines up on the outside.

Place Kicker

PK | Matt Prater | Free Agent | Free Agents
The Denver Broncos are likely to place the franchise tag on impending free-agent PK Matt Prater. The projected salary for a franchised kicker this year is less than $2.6 million - down 19 percent from $3.176 million in 2011.

Offensive Tackle

OT | David Diehl | New York Giants | Injury
New York Giants OT David Diehl (hand) underwent surgery to repair a broken hand.

OT | Marc Colombo | Miami Dolphins | Free Agents
The Miami Dolphins are not expected to re-sign impending free-agent QBs Chad Henne and J.P. Losman, RB Steve Slaton, OT Marc Colombo and LB Ikaika Alama-Francis this offseason.

OT | Vernon Carey | Free Agent | Free Agents
The Miami Dolphins may consider re-signing impending free-agent OG Vernon Carey this offseason to be their starting right guard or a versatile backup.

OG | David DeCastro | NFL Draft Prospect | Draft
The Cincinnati Bengals could consider taking University of Wisconsin OG David DeCastro in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft if he is available when they pick.

OG | Jake Scott | Free Agent | Free Agents
The Cincinnati Bengals could show interest in Tennessee Titans impending free-agent OG Jake Scott this offseason.

Defensive Line

DL | Kendall Langford | Free Agent | Free Agents
The Miami Dolphins may try to re-sign impending free-agent DL Kendall Langford this offseason but likely will let him go if he is looking for a lucrative contract.

LB | Lofa Tatupu | Free Agent | Free Agents
Free-agent LB Lofa Tatupu (Seahawks) visited the New Orleans Saints Monday, Feb. 13.

LB | Keith Rivers | Cincinnati Bengals | Injury
Cincinnati Bengals linebackers coach Paul Guenther said LB Keith Rivers (wrist) will have a role on defense next season even though he missed the 2011 season with a wrist injury.

LB | Bart Scott | New York Jets | Injury
New York Jets LB Bart Scott (elbow) underwent surgery on his elbow this offseason to clear out some bone chips.

LB | Anthony Spencer | Free Agent | Free Agents
The Dallas Cowboys may decide to place the franchise tag on impending free-agent LB Anthony Spencer because the free-agent linebacker market does not have many experienced outside linebackers that play in the 3-4 defensive alignment. Spencer would receive a one-year deal worth around $8.8 million if he received the tag and signed the tender.

CB | Stanford Routt | Free Agent | Free Agents
Updating previous items, the Houston Texans and representatives of free-agent CB Stanford Routt (Raiders) have said a meeting between the sides has not been scheduled. The Texans will kick the tires on a lot of players, but even if they have interest in Routt, they could not afford him. They don't have cap dollars to spend on free agents from other teams.

Free Safety

FS | LaRon Landry | Free Agent | Injury, Free Agents
The Kansas City Chiefs could show interest in Washington Redskins impending free-agent FS LaRon Landry because he has the ability to start if needed. The team likely would look for the right deal with Landry because of his injury history.
