1) Gaby Sanchez, 1B, Miami Marlins

Team: Steve Gardner, USA TODAY/Sports Weekly | Roster

I finally have a starting first baseman – and at this point in the draft, Sanchez seems like a pretty fair bargain. I had him as the highest ranked player on my board at any position, so he matched up well with my needs. Like most everyone on my team, Sanchez is right in the prime of his career at age 28. He's been durable and will have the benefit of Jose Reyes, Emilio Bonifacio, Hanley Ramirez and Mike Stanton hitting ahead of him in the lineup. It wouldn't be a stretch for him to top his career high of 85 RBI.

2) Dexter Fowler, OF, Colorado Rockies

Team: Ray Flowers, Baseball Guys/SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio | Roster

Cahill more attractive in NL

He gained some muscle this offseason and he flat out exploded in the second half of the season: .288 BA with a .880 OPS, 51 runs and 10 steals in 68 games.

3) Neil Walker, 2B, Pittsburgh Pirates

Team: Joe Hamrahi, Baseball Prospectus | Roster

After the top few second basemen came off the board, my strategy was to hold off as long as possible before filling my own 2B slot. Walker isn't going to electrify anyone, but he scores and drives in a respectable number of runs and shows solid pop for a middle infielder. There are certainly worse options.

4) Josh Willingham, OF, Minnesota Twins

Team: Pasko Varnica, Mastersball | Roster

Generally one can wait for OFs in a 12-team league. There were several OFs still available; I liked Willingham's HR production.

5) Trevor Cahill, SP, Arizona Diamondbacks

Team: Howard Bender, FanGraphs | Roster

This ground-ball specialist gets a better defense. Moving to the NL should help keep that K/9 trending up, and he gets a softer division in which to pitch.

6) Peter Bourjos, OF, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim

Team: Mark Chamberlin, Baseball Sharks | Roster

Looking at Shaun Marcum as the last pitcher in his tier is tempting, but Bourjos is the last in his, too, and he has something I lack right now - speed.

7) Delmon Young, OF, Detroit Tigers

Team: Nicholas Minnix, KFFL | Roster

My first reach, appropriately, midway through the draft, when "reach" has less meaning. Another opportunity to supplement my outfield with an undervalued performer (a course that enabled me to ignore the position in the first 10 rounds, practically). Young's stretch in Detroit was more indicative of his ability - that's when he was healthy. And, oh, what a lineup.

8) Kelly Johnson, 2B, Toronto Blue Jays

Team: Bill Macey, Baseball HQ | Roster

Johnson fills my MI with a player who will get me both HR and SB. I expect the Jays to have a strong offense this year, giving Johnson plenty of R and RBI opportunities.

9) Kenley Jansen, RP, Los Angeles Dodgers

Team: Josh Shepardson, The Hardball Times | Roster

It's only a matter of time...

I'm as bullish on Jansen's stock as anyone. Paying for his skill set and trusting that the cream rises to the top. His K/9 in 2011 was record setting for a pitcher that threw more than 50 innings. Sign me up for that.

10) Shaun Marcum, SP, Milwaukee Brewers

Team: Doug Anderson, RotoExperts | Roster

Needed to add one more reliable arm to my rotation before heading to my sleeper list. If he can maintain his health through the full season, he's a top-25 pitcher.

11) Huston Street, RP, San Diego Padres

Team: Tim Heaney, KFFL | Roster

His fly-ball issues and injury history scare many off. But PETCO Park will work in the former's favor, and getting my first stopper - a quality one, when healthy - in Round 15 - 15! - played to my strategy perfectly. Sure, you can snare top-end options later than ever this season, but you can also build up your offense and SP while waiting for fringe elite options that can be just as good.

12) Ervin Santana, SP, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim

Team: Jeff Paur, RTSports | Roster

Santana is a dependable starter. He isn't flashy but gets the job done. I think his numbers will get better this season playing for a better Angels team. I think Santana brings good value in the 15th round. I thought about grabbing another closer here but felt getting another starter, especially a guy like Santana, was the better value at this point of the draft.
